Thank God for Steve,
1 Corinthians 9: 24-27
24: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25: And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26: I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Ask yourself, are you in the race to win or are you just setting in the pits waiting for something or someone? If we compare this race to a NASCAR race, and who does not like NASCAR, we can easily see what we must do in order to win the race.
But before the green flag goes down we must know what we are racing against. The race that Christians run is against secular humanism, materialism, vain personal philosophies, the anti-Christian attitudes that prevail in the media and entertainment to list just a few.
First - how do we get in race? Join a church of born again, baptized believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Acts 2: 37-41
37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41: Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
and Matthew 28:18-20.
18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
As we enter the race we need a few essentials:
The first is having the best driver possible. God as the head of the church is the best driver choice possible.
15: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
18: And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.
19: For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell;
20: And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
You need to have the most powerful engine available for your car. Jesus Christ will give you that power.
20: Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21: unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
We absolutely have to run on high octane gasoline. Where do we find that type of fuel? In the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
1: Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2: Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision(mutilation/demand circumcision).
3: For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
4: Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6: Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7: But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8: Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9: and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10: That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;
11: If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12: Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
To tie it all together you must have a premium pit crew working for you. Where do you find a pit crew? Our pastors and our preachers, evangelists, all those who work in the ministry.
11: And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12: for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
Now that you are prepared you have to go out and run the race. Remembering who the race is against and what the rewards of winning this race are.
Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.
Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
