Pastor Robert M. Celeste MCAC
The only book I study. Friday January 31st, 2003
Today I am going to address all of you who call, write and email me with harsh remarks about how I take the Bible to literally. How there is nothing wrong with abortion that abortion is really pro-child and how the Bible does not teach that abortion is wrong, if you really know how to read the comments of others about it.
Those of you who are preachers and tell me that I just don't get it or I just don't understand. How if I would only study other things other commentary and books other than the Bible, how I would then understand what the Lord really meant. how I would then understand that the Bible is really just a bunch of writings of old men years ago, a guide to be interpreted and adjusted to fit the day and age we live in..
To all of you, I only have a few things to say:
First: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Second: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Third: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Fourth: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
And finally: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
For you see, Jesus said: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which Thou hast given Me; for they are Thine. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; The Lord didn't say, for them which shall believe on Me through commentary and other books and works of fiction, He said: I pray for them (The Lord's Apostles): I pray not for the world, but for them which Thou hast given Me (The Lord's Apostles); for they are Thine. Neither pray I for these (The Lord's Apostles) alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their (The Lord's Apostles) word; And that is all I need to know, I don't need to know what some guy in a fancy robe with a fancy church, with servants bringing him coffee has or had to say, for I have the Word of God to study and that's all I need
God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
