kurios, master John 4:43-54
Keyword: The Chronological order of the life of Our Christ
Can you remember back to the time Jesus was preaching at the well to the Samaritans? How they asked nothing more of Him than for Him to stay and preach to them. After two days, of preaching to them, many came to accept Him as Lord and Savior, to accept Him as The Christ, The Messiah. And then He returned to the Jews in Cana of Galilee.
43 Now after those two days He departed thence, and went into Galilee. 44 For Jesus Himself testified, that 'a prophet hath no honour in his own country.' 45 Then when He was come into Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things that He did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water into wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went to Him, and besought Him that He would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. 49 The nobleman saith unto him, "Sir (kurious), come down ere my child die." 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, "Thy son liveth". 52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour(1PM) the fever left him." 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, 'Thy son liveth': and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when He was come out of Judaea into Galilee. John 4:43-54 ACP/KJV
The nobleman called Jesus "Kurious", pronounced koo'-ree-os, it means: supreme in authority, i.e. (as noun) controller; by implication, Master (as a respectful title):-- God, Lord, master, Sir.
I have no doubt this nobleman trully believed that Jesus could heal his son, and I am sure that after he met his servant on the way and found that his son have been healed the same time Jesus had said "Go thy way; thy son liveth", he was convinced that Jesus is The Messiah, for verse 53 tells us "So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, 'Thy son liveth': and himself believed, and his whole house."
But I cannot get over the fact that the Samaritans believed without seeing a recorded miracle, yet the nobleman, like so many of the Jews, believed only after seeing a miracle, if they believed at all.
Lord, make my faith as that which I perceive the Samaritans to have had. Amen.
As you ponder today's Scripture, ponder also your own relationship with Christ. Are you a Samaritan or are you a Galilean?
Lord give us eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart attuned to Your word.
Men, let us strive to be men who follow Christ, and pray our wives will, as Peter's and Abraham's wives did, simply follow.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
