What is Mel Gibson's film 'Passion'?

Today, as you study Matthew chapter fifteen, I believe you will find the answers to why no Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian should recommend or use Mel Gibson's film Passion as an evangelical tool. Now, I am well aware that most if not all of the Evangelical Protestant so called and in most cases self proclaimed, 'leaders' will disagree with me. But, let me ask you this: Can a cult lead the lost to Christ? Why would a cult want to take souls from their god satan and give those souls to our God Christ Jesus?

Mel Gibson is not a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, he is a devote Roman Catholic. Roman Catholicism and Born Again Christians are not the same, they are direct opposites. I am not going to address all of the things that make Roman Catholicism a cult, I am simply going to arm you with two questions to ask your RC friends that will, or at least should, make you aware of the fact that they do not worship the same Lord Jesus that we do. First, ask you RC friend to recite their Hail Mary prayer (http://www.catholicplanet.com/catholic/hail.htm). Listen carefully as they do, listen to every word. Now, aks them to recite for you the prayer they use to pray directly to Jesus.

Roman Catholics put traditions ahead of the teachings of Christ! Now let us go to: Matthew Chapter Fifteen

1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2 "Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread." Notice the importance the leaders are putting on tradition.

3 But He answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, HONOUR THY FATHER AND MOTHER: AND, HE THAT CURSETH FATHER OR MOTHER, LET HIM DIE THE DEATH. (Exodus 21:17) 5 But ye say, "Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift," by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6 And honour not his father or his mother, "he shall be free". Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Notice how the Lord corrects them using Scripture, not tradition, but Scripture. No where in the Bible does God use tradition to correct men, only Scripture. Yet, what do Mel Gibson and other Roman Catholics put first? Tradition.

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias (Isaiah) prophesy of you, saying, 8 THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS; BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. 9 BUT IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN. (Isaiah 29:13) This would be a good time for you to go to: www.rosary-center.org/howto.htm and see for yourself what and how Roman Catholics are taught to pray. Look for anything going to God through Jesus.

10 And He called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Recently Cec and I had an overnight guest, Ed Fitzgerald, a man who had spent the last five years of his life teaching and preaching in the bowels of the slums of Argentina. He told us of how he had eaten meat with worms and bugs climbing through it, how he had to cook everything to the point of over done to be sure of killing all the creepy crawley things. But Jesus is telling us that by eating those things, Ed did not defile himself. But the things that come out of the mouths of Roman Catholics and other traditional cultist does.

12 Then came His disciples, and said unto Him, "Knowest Thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?" 13 But He answered and said, Every plant, which My heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Now I want you to think about the blind leading the blind. Think about how Roman Catholics are taught to go before a man dressed in black, a man who is part of an organization that covered up for and even encouraged men who raped little boys. To go before them, kneel down and say "bless me father for I have sinned..." the tradition of Roman Catholicism teachers men, women and children to kneel down before a man and ask his forgiveness for their sins. Does that sound to you like a religion that is going to help evangelize for the Lord Jesus?

15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, "declare unto us this parable." 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught (latrine, sewer)? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. So, if you eat rotten food, food with worms in it, eat food with hands that have not been washed in months, you may get sick to your stomach, but you will not go to hell. But, by putting the teachings of the traditions of Roman Catholicism over the teachings of God will damn you and the teacher.

21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Thou Son of David, my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil." 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and besought him, saying, "Send her away; for she crieth after us." 24 But He answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped Him, saying, "Lord, help me." 26 But He answered and said, It is not meet (right) to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, "Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Instead of going to that movie and taking an unsaved friend, in hopes that satan will allow that film to rescue your unsaved friend for eternal damnation, get real, get serious, and do as the Lord instructs. Accept the fact that Roman Catholicism and this film, are not short cuts to Christian evangelism, only using and preaching the word of God and His Word are fit tools for evangelism.

29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. 30 And great multitudes came unto Him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast (placed) them down at Jesus' feet; and He healed them: 31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. Jesus healed every last one of them, not using traditions, but using His power as God.

32 Then Jesus called His disciples unto Him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with Me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

33 And His disciples say unto Him, "Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?" 34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, "Seven, and a few little fishes." 35 And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. 36 And He took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to His disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. 38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. 39 And He sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala. Your unsaved friends and kin are not going to come to know the Lord by going to see a Roman Catholic film that is designed to convince people that Roman Catholicism is a Christian religion. No, this horrible deceptive film by Mel Gibson is designed to give people 95% of the knowledge needed for salvation and 100% of the Roman Catholic cultist baloney.

Look, sit down and think to yourself, if you were going over the bible with satan and wanted to let people read as much as possible without giving them the key things they needed to get saved, what things or verses would you eliminate or change? Would one of the things be "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3? Well, according to the traditions of Roman Catholicism, to be Born Again is to be baptized by the sprinkling of water as an infant by a priest. This film is designed to get people to go to a Roman Catholic church, not an evangelical Christian church. Stop looking for short cuts, the man or woman who evangelized you didn't use a short cut, he or she used Scripture, so what is making you so lazy and shiftless?

Lord help us to understand that it is through You, not tradition that one is Saved. Amen.

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
