Well, according to many Christian Evangelical leader pundits, President Bush is in deep trouble with Christians. According to a report widely circulated on Drudge, WorldNetDaily and other conservative internet news sites, the Washington Times is reporting that the President may be in serious trouble with Christians.
"It's not just economic conservatives upset by runaway federal spending that he's
having trouble with. I think his biggest problem will be social conservatives who are
not motivated to work for the ticket and to ensure their fellow Christians get to the
polling booth," said Robert H. Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute.
"If there is a rerun of 2000, when an estimated 6 million fewer evangelical Christians voted than in the pivotal year of 1994, then the Bush ticket will be in trouble, especially if there is no [Ralph] Nader alternative to draw Democratic votes away from the Democratic candidate," added Mr. Knight, whose organization is an affiliate of Concerned Women for America (CWA).

You know the sad thing is, they, the pundits, might be right. But there is a way out for the President, a way to not only assure that we will go out and vote for him, but a way to reinforce the principles of the founders as well.
The President needs to go on television and tell us the truth. He needs to go on television and apologize. Tell the truth about what and apologize about what? Tell us the truth about why he has not been able to accomplish more, tell us how he is stuck with liberals in both houses, liberals like Ted Kennedy and Olympia Snowe, Chaffee and Collins. He needs to tell us how he was stuck with unbelievable corruption left over by the Clinton administration, he needs to tell us about the corruption of judges and members of the congressional staffs. Not just mention it in passing but go into great detail.
He needs to apologize for being taken in by the leftists in both parties, who while assuring him that they would work with him, lied. He needs to tell us how he fought for and got passed a tax cut, the partial birth abortion ban, how before he was able to truly focus on his domestic agenda but was forced to be a war time president. He needs to level with us on how he was left with a gutted intelligence staff and a politically correct military. How the terrorist had been lulled by previous administrations into believing that we would cower if attacked, that we would turn against Israel if they kept up the pressure on us. He needs to go into detail about these things.
Then he needs to look us in the eye, say "I'm sorry I have let so many of you down, but please give me your vote and another four years."
If I could talk to the President, which I can't, I would say to him, "George, repent and tell the truth. Thank Zell Miller and condemn Olympia Snowe, commend Justice Thomas and Attorney General Ashcroft. And then publicly ask for Justices Ginsberg and O'Connor's resignations. Turn to and trust the people of the USA and do this live on the Rush Limbaugh show and again on the Sean Hannity show and again on the Michael Savage radio show, not just making a speech and leaving, but letting them question you and you answering their questions honestly and with proof. And finish up by putting your head down and asking the forgiveness of the Lord Jesus, ask Him to forgive you for not having thanked Him, for not having turned to Him more, for not having done enough for His babies in the womb and His people throughout the USA." That is what I would tell the President to do, for that is exactly what I would do if I were president.
George Bush has given us tax relief, he has done a ton wrong, he has done a ton of things that makes one question his Christianity, but he has also banned partial birth infanticide and for that act alone we owe him our vote. And then I would close by saying to the President: "George, go live on those shows, spend three hours with Rush, make your speech and take his questions and then take the questions that are called in, relying upon the screeners to keep out the leftist Christ and freedom haters. And then do the same with Sean and Savage." And then I would pray with the President, asking for God's help leading him to do what is right.
The Lord be with you all, pray for our president, amen.
Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
