Oh ye men of war, harken unto the words of the Lord thy God.
Tuesday February 25th, 2003
As most of you are now well aware, the war in Iraq has started and is in full swing and on schedule. Today we are going to look at what God tells our fighting men. It is most important that we understand that the words of God are directed to those who are His, not the heathen who has dedicated his life to satan.
While Jesus yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood without, desiring to speak with Him. Then one said unto Him, "Behold, Thy mother and Thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with Thee." But Jesus answered and said unto him that told Him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? And He stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12)
So, today's thought is not for everyone, it is not for every man and woman serving in the US Military. It is for those who are serving who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians.
First let us address what you as a Born Again Christian in the military in war are to do.
While John the Baptist was baptizing , a group of soldiers came by: And the soldiers likewise demanded of John, saying, "And what shall we do?" And John said unto them, "Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."
So, what is John telling them? Well, let us first look at what he is not telling them. He is not telling them not to fight, "Do violence to no man" does not mean don't fight, nor does it mean do not kill, nor does it mean do not shoot back. What it means is do not torture.
"neither accuse any falsely" means tell the truth, do not report fire coming from a village as being fire from tanks or artillery when it is only small arms. Do not report an enemy buildup in a school or hospital if you are not sure there is. Do not report what you know not to be true, in other words, be honorable.
"be content with your wages" simply means be content with your wages, do not pillage, do not steal, do not take that which is not yours from the enemy who is alive or dead, nor from the villager or even the politician.
Having looked at what John said and further examining it to see what he does not mean, tells us exactly what is expected of you as a member of the US military during war. Now let us look at something you are undoubtably going to have thrown at you by the leftist. Thou shalt not kill. These words were spoken directly to Moses by God the Father, you will hear it said time and time again that "Thou shalt not kill." Those who yell that at you are as ignorant as those who can not understand that it is a baby in the womb. For what the Lord God Creator of all things was saying to Moses was Thou shalt not ratsach. The Hebrew word ratsach is used here, the word ratsach means not to slaughter the most innocent and defenseless of human life. The only ones that fall into that category are the baby in the womb and the elderly who are incapable of moving, ones in a comma or paralyzed. So, for those of you who are snipers, even taking Thou shalt not ratsach in it's most liberal sense, it would only mean "do not shoot and kill anyone who is not an enemy combatant or has any control over enemy combatant or is not in one way or another helping an enemy combatant."
Now, before I move on, I want you to see the importance of fighting with honor and behaving as God has instructed through His servant John the Baptist. If the pilot in the air has faith that you are honorable and if you call in a strike on what appears from the air to be a hospital, he will bomb the hospital because he has faith that you, the spotter on the ground, can be trusted to identify only military targets. If the pilot in the air can trust you, than you can help end this war faster.
Now, let us move on to the question of healing, for in wars, even the good guys get shot up, and sometimes there are no medics around. Once again, this is only for the Saved, and you must do it exactly as you are told in God's word the Holy Bible.
Let us say that a four man fire team is out front and all four are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. And one gets hit really bad, so bad that the ten minutes it is going to take to MEDIVAC him out, is about eight minutes to long. What is a fire team leader to do? First put in the call for a MEDIVAC. And then turn to God. Why call in the MEDIVAC first? You are instructed by your chain of command to call in the MEDIVAC, after you make the call, turn to God.
How does one turn to God for healing?
First let's look at the Scripture that deals specifically with healing.
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you?
Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
And if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:13-16)
Ok, let's look at it step by step.
First, put in the call for the MEDIVAC.
Second, if the man who is injured is capable of asking, he must ask the rest of the team to pray for him.
Third, the senior Christian in the group is to start the praying, asking God's healing, while at the same time anointing the injured man with oil. This oil can be any kind of oil, even salad dressing, but it is best to carry a small amount of olive oil with you. While the senior Christian prays and anoints, the other members of the team who are Saved, keep that in mind, only those who are Saved can be involved, pray for the injured man silently.
Fourth, you must pray in faith, knowing that the same God who created everything in heaven and earth in six days can easily heal your buddy, you can't pray saying things like, "Lord if You can help us..." You must pray with faith, praying with such strength and determination that you know God will heal the injured member of your team.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. (John 14:13&14)
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. (Matthew 21:21)
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)
So, show no sign of weakness or doubt in your prayer, go to the Lord proudly, not as a stranger but as a son, knowing that if you go to Him, without doubt in your hearts, with knowledge that He loves you and wants to do for you, and you give the glory to God, your buddy will be healed, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Next, Confess your faults one to another.
That's it. Nothing else to do but thank God and praise His name, go back to doing your jobs and remember to give God the glory and thanks and remember to tell those around you how God healed your buddy.
Guys I know this works, I am living proof that it works, and just as recently as this last Sunday, I called the elders together to pray for my right thumb, and it is healed.
Trust the Lord, do you job, trust your chain of command and put your faith in the Lord Jesus, the Christ. Do not worry about what you are doing or will do, do not worry about the peter jennings and the others that would try to disparage what you are doing, set your eyes upon the Lord, trust Him to let you know if you're getting out of line. You snipers, when in doubt ask Him. Say "Lord if You don't want me to take the shot, jam my rifle." If the rifle fires, take the shot.
The Lord our God, Messiah Yeshua be with you all. And for those of you who are not Saved, Born Again washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, I ask you this: "What are you waiting for?"
God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
