ACP, The fundamental Christian outreach to and for Christian men. The Church for the American Christian Patriot
The online Church for American Christian Patriots, serves those men brave enough to want to raise their families in Christ. Men who will obey Ephesians 5:25
We are: Pro-Christ, Pro-Life, Pro-(pre-1860)Constitution.
Are you man enough?
If you husbands will love your wife as Christ loves the Church, you won't need to raise your voice or hit her, for she will love you so much that she will revere you. God Himself has ordained it: Unto the woman He said, ... your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16b ACP/KJV)

Today we are going to see one more Old Testament prophecy fulfilled. In Isaiah chapter nine we read:
Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her (Israel's) vexation, when at the first He (GOD) lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her (Israel) by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the Light (Christ) shined. Isaiah 9:1&2 ACP/KJV
Between the time that the Hebrews arrived in their land and the time that God left heaven and came to earth as a speck in the womb of a young virgin girl named Mary, the Jews had suffered many things at the hands of many different peoples and nations for a period of about 1400 years. And now, today, as we study the Life of Christ, we see this prophecy being fulfilled. For Jesus will leave Nazareth, where He grew up, and move to Capernaum.
13 And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: 14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 15 THE LAND OF ZABULON, AND THE LAND OF NEPHTHALIM, BY THE WAY OF THE SEA, BEYOND JORDAN, GALILEE OF THE GENTILES; 16 THE PEOPLE WHICH SAT IN DARKNESS SAW GREAT LIGHT (Jesus); AND TO THEM WHICH SAT IN THE REGION AND SHADOW OF DEATH LIGHT (Jesus) IS SPRUNG UP (Isaiah 9:1&2).
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:13-17 ACP/KJV
In verses 13-16 we see the 750 year old prophecy of God as written by and spoken by the prophet Isaiah fulfilled. In verse 17 we see Jesus saying what He through the mouths of those that are His have been saying ever since, "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Let us take a moment to look at that word repent. Oft times too many make it into what they want it to mean rather than what it means and what Jesus meant by it.
Repent, in the Greek is the word metanoew or metanoeo, it is pronounced met-an-o-eh'-o and is, for those who wish to really study it even further, Strong's number 3340 in KJV. It means, to think differently. It means, after repenting, to reconsider your morals and to feel compunction towards serving Christ. Repenting does not mean, as some would have us believe, an immediate 180 degree turning about of your life, although that will, in time, come, if you have truly repented and been born again.
" for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." is, again in the original Greek, garbasilei ouranos eggizo. This, quite literally, means, "for, the ruler from the adobe of God is amongst you." In so saying Jesus has made it absolutely clear that He is the Christ, the Messiah, that He is God the ruler, the Creator of heaven and earth.
So, in today's English, if Jesus was to repeat what He said in Capernaum, He would say. "I AM the Christ, I AM God Almighty, I have come to earth as Ruler and God. Start now to rethink your morals, your direction and your life, start to turn from your wicked ways, to the ways of God."
All too often we expect one who turns from evil to Christ to change immediately. We expect to see them living the life of a mature Christian within hours. That is not what Jesus meant when He said: "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Men, the Christian walk is difficult enough, don't make it more difficult than it need be. It is not your expectations they need reach or achieve, it is the expectations of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, they need to strive for. Just like you and me. Don't be like the ruling Jews of Jesus' time when He had to say to them: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte , and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Matthew 23:15"
Men, do not be like those Pharisees and scribes, do not let the things you read in books, in commentary, in exhortations become more important to you than what is written in the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Do not be like those preachers who do not want you in their churches because they got their understanding of "thou shalt not kill" and "armed men" not from God's word, but from the writings and/or speaking of other men. Make it no more difficult for other men and especially your own family and friends to give their lives to Christ.
Sometime in the not too distant future I want to talk to you men in the Militias, about Luke 20:25 and Matthew 24:24.
Lord, make my faith as that which I perceive the Samaritans to have had. Amen.
As you ponder today's Scripture, ponder also your own relationship with Christ. Are you a Samaritan or are you a Galilean?
Lord give us eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart attuned to Your word.
Men, let us strive to be men who follow Christ, and pray our wives will, as Peter's and Abraham's wives did, simply follow.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
