All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, unless otherwise noted, is from the ACP/King James Version. The words in red are those of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those of God the Father and God the Holy Ghost and the words in this sickly EPA greenish color are of satan.

1,980 years ago in Jerusalem, Jesus, Son of The Father freed Jesus son of father.
On this very day in history, 1,980 years ago in Jerusalem, Israel, the Lord God creator of the Universe(s), took the place, on the cross, of the man He had chosen from before time began. For God Himself had preordained every action from the instant the Lord Jesus was implanted into the womb of the young virgin Mary, till His ascension into heaven some 33 years and four months or so later.
Today we are going to look at the record of the man the Lord freed and took his place on the cross.
Barabbas was A noted robber in Christ's time. He was imprisoned and awaiting death for the crimes of sedition and murder. While we never see it in our current versions of the Bible, after the books of the Bible had been decided on, a man named Origen found many manuscripts referring to Barabbas as Jesus Barabbas.
In Aramaic Jesus Barabbas means Joshua son of father.
Now let us look at the official record of this historical event where the Lord God of the Universe, the Creator of all things, took the place of a member of the Israeli militia fighting against the corrupt, degenerate, satan worshiping government of Rome.
We are going to look at them in order, then summarize into one.
11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying, "Art thou the King of the Jews?" And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. 12 And when He was accused of (by) the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
13 Then said Pilate unto Him, "Hearest Thou not how many things they witness against Thee?" 14 And He answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marveled greatly.
15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. 16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. 17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, "Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?" 18 For he (Pilate) knew that for envy they (the high priest and the Sanhedrin) had delivered Him.
19 When he(Pilate) was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, "Have thou nothing to do with that Just Man(Jesus): for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him." 20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. In verse 20, we see again God Almighty using the unsaved to do His bidding in carrying out His predetermined will.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, "Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you?" They said, "Barabbas." 22 Pilate saith unto them, "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" They all say unto him, "Let Him be crucified." 23 And the governor said, "Why, what evil hath He done?" But they cried out the more, saying, "Let Him be crucified." 24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult (riot) was in the making, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this Just Person: see ye to it." 25 Then answered all the people, and said, "His blood be on us, and on our children." 26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified. Matthew 27:11-26 ACP/KJV
Now let us look at the record as recorded by another Eye witness, John Mark.
1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.(see Psalm 2:2) 2 And Pilate asked Him, "Art Thou the King of the Jews?" And He answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.
3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things: but He answered nothing. 4 And Pilate asked Him again, saying, "Answerest Thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against Thee." 5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled. (See Isaiah 53:7)
6 Now at that feast he(Pilate) released unto them(the Jews) one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him(Pilate) to do as he(Pilate) had ever done unto them.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, "Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?" 10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him(Jesus) for envy.
11 But the chief priests moved (persuaded) the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, "What will ye then that I shall do unto Him whom ye call the King of the Jews?" 13 And they cried out again, "Crucify Him."
14 Then Pilate said unto them, "Why, what evil hath He done?" And they cried out the more exceedingly, "Crucify him."
15 And so Pilate, willing to appease the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged Him, to be crucified. Mark 15:1-15 ACP/KJV
Now, as we look at the recorded record of Luke, bear in mind, we have no evidence that Luke was actually an eye witness, but, as big a thing as this was, he may very well have been. But what we do know is that Dr. Luke was a man who was a meticulous researcher, a reporter unlike any today, a man who dug out the absolute truth. A man who had access to both the Apostles and to the family of Jesus, including His mother Mary.
13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 said unto them, "Ye have brought this Man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined Him before you, have found no fault in this Man touching those things whereof ye accuse Him: 15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto Him.
16 I will therefore chastise Him, and release Him. 17 For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.
18 And they cried out all at once, saying, "Away with this Man, and release unto us Barabbas:" 19 Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.
20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. 21 But they cried, saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him." 22 And he said unto them the third time, "Why, what evil hath He done? I have found no cause of death in Him: I will therefore chastise Him, and let Him go."
23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that He might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. 25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. (Luke 23:13-23 CP/KJV)
Now, let us look at how the Apostle John, Jesus' favorite Apostle, recorded what happened on what had to be the most traumatic day of his life.
19 The high priest then asked Jesus of His disciples, and of His doctrine. 20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. 21 Why askest thou Me? Ask them which heard Me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
22 And when He had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, "Answerest Thou the high priest so?" 23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou Me?
24 Now Annas had sent Him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest. 25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, "Art not thou also one of His disciples?" He denied it, and said, "I am not." (Peter's second denial of the Lord) 26 One of the servants of the high priest (Malchus), being his (the high priest) kinsman, whose ear Peter cut off, saith, "Did not I see thee in the garden with him?"
27 Peter then denied again (Peter's third denial of the Lord): and immediately the cock crew. (see-John 13:38)
28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. 29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, "What accusation bring ye against this Man?" 30 They answered and said unto him, "If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered Him up unto thee." 31 Then said Pilate unto them, "Take ye Him, and judge Him according to your law." The Jews therefore said unto him, "It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:" 32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which He spake, signifying what death He should die (see John 3:14 for only the Romans used crucifixion as a means of carrying out a death sentence at that time. It is now commonly used in muslim countries against Christians.).
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto Him, "Art thou the King of the Jews?" 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of Me?
35 Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered Thee unto me: what hast Thou done?" 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My kingdom not from hence (here).
37 Pilate therefore said unto Him, "Art Thou a king then?" Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth (word of God in fulfilling all prophecy of the first coming of the Messiah). Every one that is of the truth heareth My voice.
38 Pilate saith unto Him, "What is truth?" And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, "I find in Him no fault at all. 39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?"
40 Then cried they all again, saying, "Not this Man, but Barabbas." Now Barabbas was a robber. John 18:19-50 ACP/KJV
Are you starting to get the picture? The Jewish leaders, both religious and political, wanted Jesus dead, not for cause but out of jealousy. But more important, you see that God Almighty, thru His Son, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, is playing the heathen like a fine tuned instrument. Numerous prophecies are fulfilled, how could anyone think that God would have left to chance the picking of one for Jesus to substitute Himself for.
Let us look again at the name of the one who was supposed to die. Barabbas. Bar means son of, abba means father. Now the question is why did God Almighty choose to switch positions with a man who was arrested for sedition against Rome, a man who while performing this act of sedition killed a man, more than likely a Roman soldier? What is the message Jesus is sending us? And why has He waited until this time to have this question raised? For I have never heard any question who and why Barabbas before.
But the fact remains that everything in the Bible, everything in the word of God, means something. It is also fact, recorded in all four Gospels that Jesus switched places on th cross with Barabbas. And I will go so far as to say that anyone who thinks the high priest, the Sanhedrin, the media, the politicians, Pilate, Herod or anyone but God chose Barabbas is just not thinking. God leaves nothing to chance, especially when it comes to Himself. No, Barabbas was not chosen by chance. Barabbas was chosen to be the one God would replace on the cross by God Himself, before the foundations of the earth, before time itself began.
I believe that reason is because God is not a marshmallow, God is a God of war. The one and only God, the God who: caused the world wide flood of Genesis 6, the God who in 1 Samuel 15 said "I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."
The very same God that ordered the death of all in Sodom and Gomorrah. He who will once again destroy creation. I am convinced that our God, the Father , the Son, and the Holy Ghost decided on God the Son taking the place of a militia member so as to let us know that we are not to let the ungodly, the heathen, the worshipers of satan destroy our youth, our families, our churches. We are to fight back, using what ever force we deem necessary.
In 1 Samuel 15, God says "Kill them all". In Hebrews 9:27 God says, "I'll sort them out." And that is why, on this very day 1,980 years ago, on March 28th, 33AD, the Lord God of Creation took the place of Joshua son of the father, on the cross.
Sometime in the not too distant future I want to talk to you men in the Militias, about Luke 20:25 and Matthew 24:24.
Lord, make my faith as that which I perceive the Samaritans to have had. Amen.
As you ponder today's Scripture, ponder also your own relationship with Christ. Are you a Samaritan or are you a Galilean?
Lord give us eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart attuned to Your word.
Men, let us strive to be men who follow Christ, and pray our wives will, as Peter's and Abraham's wives did, simply follow.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
