Giving thanks always... Weekend of March 1st & 2nd, 2003
Over the last few days the thoughts have been a bit long. For the weekend, let's do one a bit shorter. We have been praying for our troops, their salvation, the President and his ever strengthening walk with the Lord.
Let us start by looking at three verses of Scripture and then two pictures with a verse under each.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. (John 17:9)
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, (Colossians 1:3)

leading services, chaplains offer counseling and support. (Photos Laura Rauch -- AP)
"LIVING SUPPORT AREA 7, Kuwait -- While hundreds of Marines with rifles slung over their shoulders looked on, eight young men in green shorts and T-shirts approached the altar during last Sunday's church services at this military camp in the northern Kuwaiti desert. One by one they received blessings from a chaplain and plunged into a freshly dug pool to be baptized, emerging to raucous applause." (From the Washington Post 2/27/03)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Matthew 28:16&19)
"Since we met last year, millions of Americans have been led to prayer. They have prayed for comfort in time of grief; for understanding in a time of anger; for protection in a time of uncertainty. Many, including me, have been on bended knee. The prayers of this nation are a part of the good that has come from the evil of September the 11th, more good than we could ever have predicted. Tragedy has brought forth the courage and the generosity of our people." (President Bush at the 2003 prayer breakfast)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9&10)
Lord, we humbly thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.
Lord God Creator of all things, we, the people of the USA, give Thee thanks for giving us the second chance we do not deserve. We thank Thee Lord for our brave troops who are at this very instant freeing and liberating people through out the kingdom of satan. Amen. And Lord we beseech Thee that Thou would send to our men a Paul, to preach Your word to them before they go to free those held captive by the forces of evil left by Saul. Touch the Presidents heart Lord, lead him in a direction to send evangelist to our troops, give him the strength Lord to serve You, to use his office, that You have entrusted him with, as Commander in Chief to authorize and send solid evangelical Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian evangelist preachers to bring the Word of God to our troops, giving them both reason to fight and the Lord's plan of salvation.
Lord Jesus, it is in Thy Sacred and Holy Name I pray, Amen.
All Scripture is quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
