Are you man enough?
If you husbands will love your wife as Christ loves the Church, you won't need to raise your voice or hit her, for she will love you so much that she will revere you. God Himself has ordained it: Unto the woman He said, ... your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16b ACP/KJV)

Thanks to ACP's Steve Burzlaff, we now have the Evanglical handout, "What If" in PDF format.

Thank God for Steve,
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
Day 9 of 40,
Why is this forty day series on the family so important? Let me answer your question like this.
Over the years, I have heard any number of kids say; "My dad is bigger than your dad.", "My dad is stronger than your dad.", "My dad can beat up your dad.", "My dad can drink more beer than your dad.". I even heard of one girl bragging about how her dad had more sex partners.
Now let me tell you what I have never heard kids bragging about, and I doubt you have either. I have never heard a boy or girl say; "My dad is meek and he hungers for God's word." or "My dad is merciful, has a pure heart and seeks to serve Christ." or even "My dad serves Jesus and is raising us to be Christians."
In your house which is the more likely that your kids will hear when you have been lied about at work or even fired because of some underhanded office politics. "I'll get that *&^T&#@" or, "Kids, Hon, come here, we have to pray for the man who got daddy fired today."
When the kids go out to play the next day, are they more likely to say to their friends: "My dads gonna get that guy" or "Last night my dad, mom, and us kids prayed for a man who really hurt my dad."?
Be ye angry, yet sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, along with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Therefore, be ye followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (Ephesians 4:26-5:2)
Guys, as we ponder what the Lord Jesus has told us through the pen of His faithful servant Paul, don't you think it is time for us to start letting our kids see us pray instead of curse and fight? Let me make a suggestion for you to do this very night.
(Now, I understand that what I'm about to say, if you have older kids, say late teens and above, may be literally to late and impossible for you to do. And I promise, that during the next 31 days, the Holy Spirit will show me how we can reach our older kids.) But, this very night, do this.
Read: This then is the message which we have heard of Jesus, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with God, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Christ Jesus His Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:5-9)
Then pray, asking Jesus to develop a forgiving heart in you. Helping you to be able to forget those things your family, friends and even ordinary folks have done that have hurt you. Continue by asking God to help you, by reminding you to always ask immediately, for forgiveness when you do or say something that you know was wrong or hurtful.
Let's get our kids bragging about how much we are like verses 3 thru 11 of Matthew five.
Oh Lord God Almighty, how sad and dismal our failures have been. Help us Lord to recognize the damage we are doing to our children when we let the behaviour, speech and attitude of the world overcome the behaviour, speech and attitude that You, Lord Jesus, died to put within us. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
