The first reason is:
That by committing to going through the KJV and putting it in paragraph form with all of the pronouns that refer to God the Father, God the Son and or God the Holy Ghost both identified and capitalized. That as I got further into the study and started identifying the speaker by color code, using red for Jesus, purple for God the Father and /or God the Holy Ghost and that environmental wacko earth worshiping green for satan, that it has gotten to be an absolutely wonder Bible study for me. And that was by far the most important and driving force behind my doing it.
The second reason is you:
I found as I studied the Bible and started changing over from the NIV to the KJV and then in 1997 to the first of the ACP/KJV quotes with color that many of you found it to be more understandable.
The third reason is:
It helps me, you and others to understand that the Old Testament is full of reference to Jesus.
Now, while the above three are not the only reasons, they will suffice for the time being as we look at Exodus chapter twenty-three in ACP/KJV format, please understand this is in no way a NKJV, it is the original 1611 KJV in ACP form.
Exodus Chapter Twenty-three
1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. 2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment: 3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again. 5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause. 7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked. 8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. 10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof: 11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto Me in the year. 15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before Me empty:) 16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning. 19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of Him(*Jesus), and obey His voice, provoke Him not; for He will not pardon your transgressions: for My name is in him. 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. 23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. 25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. 26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. 28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. 29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. 30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee. 32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against Me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
Now, let's look at verses 20 through 23.
20-23 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him(*Jesus), and obey His voice, provoke Him not; for He will not pardon your transgressions: for My name is in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
Now, what I would like to do is show you how these three verses appear in the 1611 KJV:
20 ¶ Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
While I love the KJV and consider it the only true translation, even better than the Geneva Bible, I do realize that the language is archaic, it was probably archaic even in 1611. Many who can easily read and understand Shakspere cannot understand the KJV. Or maybe that is because they worship money and not God, and are not Born Again. So they do not have the Holy Spirt dwelling within them. Understanding the KJV without the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit is impossible, God made it that way. And the ACP/KJV is not designed to make it so that the unsaved can understand the Word of God and His word.
That said, the ACP/KJV is designed to help you, the Born Again Christian, come to realize that you can rely upon the KJV and the Holy Ghost, you do not need one of these new so called translations. They are not, in my opinion translations, they are commentary. That is my opinion, not prophecy, not anything but my opinion.
But, as you read the ACP/KJV, after knelling down and going to the Lord in a request that He help you understand, I think the ACP version of the KJV takes a little of the archaic use of the English language away and makes it more in line with the English that is now used and taught.
Does that mean that I believe that you can not be Saved or lead someone to a saving Knowledge of the Lord Jesus by using something other than the KJV or ACP/KJV? No, not at all, for between the resurrection of Jesus in 33 AD and the first printing of the KJV over 1,550 years passed. That in itself proves that even having a Bible is not a prerequisite to being Saved, but, having a Bible sure makes it a lot easier.
But, if you are serious about wanting to get to know the Savior better, there is no version less politically correct than the KJV and there is no version of the KJV that is easier to read than the ACP/KJV. At least for me. But how about you? Perhaps you should do your own bible study and print out your own version of the KJV. For remember reason number one?
"That by committing to going through the KJV and putting it in paragraph form with all of the pronouns that refer to God the Father, God the Son and or God the Holy Ghost both identified and capitalized. That as I got further into the study and started identifying the speaker by color code, using red for Jesus, purple for God the Father and /or God the Holy Ghost and that environmental wacko earth worshiping green for satan, that it has gotten to be an absolutely wonder Bible study for me. And that was by far the most important and driving force behind my doing it."
Shouldn't you do the same thing? Shouldn't you find the time to search out and study the Word of God and His word in an effort to get to know Him better?
Let me close by asking you a question after you read these verses of Scripture:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Now comes the questions, do you know where those verse appear? How are you to understand them if you do not study your bible? And How do you obey the command of the Christ, if you do not study and understand His word?
Understand this. You are responsible for your own salvation, I am not, nor is your Pastor, your family or kin. It is you whose name will either appear or not appear in the Lambs Book Of Life. How many times have you missed a chance to witness because you were, or are, ignorant of God's word? I pray daily for certain men, women and children. Part of the prayer is: "... Lord, please put someone in their life who they will listen to ..." I pray this for my brother and my sister, and their families, all heathens, all caught up in the cult of roman catholicism. What if it is you that God puts in the path of my brother Rick and you are so ignorant of God's word that Rick goes to hell because you couldn't introduce him to Christ. Will it be your fault? No, it will be Ricks, but, you could have picked up a crown by knowing God's Word and His word and being able to introduce Rick to the Lord Jesus.
What about your family? Are they all Saved? Are there none who you could introduce to the Lord if only you spent a little time studying God's word? One last question, who do you spend more time with on a daily basis, the Lord Jesus or the talking heads on the nightly news?
You are driving down the road, the car in front of you swerves and slams into a tree, you are the first one there, the driver is trapped, he is dying, that is obvious, he looks up at you and says, "I'm cold, it is getting dark, I'm scared." On the seat is a magazine that leads you to understand that he is a not a born again Christian. Can you introduce him to Christ before he dies minutes later? Or can you tell him the latest news?
Do you think Jesus meant to say: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Except for (add your name).
Lord help us to understand that we are Your servants, not your buddies, not your peers, not your good ole friends; and that you meant us when you said: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And Lord, please be with Larry as he preaches for the first time at the Veterans Home in So Paris, Maine.
Thank You Jesus.
The Lord bless you all and may He heal Mel's eyes and Myra's ears. May He be with Colby as he has now arrived at Paris Island and strted boot camp, A Christian babe amongst many a wolf. Amen.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac, Cecily, Steve, and Rev. Jim Marstaller to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.
There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is Saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.
The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
