When was the last time you woke up in the middle of the night...

Wednesday March 16th, 2005
So, when was the last time you woke up in the middle of the night, reached over put your hand on your wives head, looked up towards heaven and thanked God for her? Well, if wasn't last night it is probably because you didn't read Monday's thought, so here is the link to it. www.ChristianPatriot.com/03_14_2005.htm or your wife is unsaved, or you guys have missed some very important Biblical truths about marriage and the marriage bed.

Have you ever heard the old saying, "behind every successful man is a woman pushing him along"? Well that old saying is partly true like so much of secular stuff, there is a bit of truth in it. Today we will look at the truth of what is behind every successful man. Successful, not in the eyes of the world, like Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry. No, successful in the eyes of God, like Ovide, Dr. Bean, Jim, Larry, and Steve.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. (Genesis 2:8-25 ACP/KJV)

Men, we are, whether we like it or not, all descendants of that first man, Adam. Our wives are all descendants of that first woman, Eve. God could have just reached down grabbed another handful of dirt and made Eve, but instead, He made Eve to be the first and only successfully cloned human. He took a rib from Adam and from that rib He made Eve.

He didn't take Eve from Adam's foot so that he could walk on her, He didn't take Eve from Adams brain so that she could lord over him. No, God made Eve from one of Adams ribs.

What do ribs do? Reach down and feel your ribs, now think to yourself what would happen without them. Think about John Baldacci, what would have happened to Governor John ( I've never met a homosexual I didn't love and a baby in the womb I didn't want to kill) Baldacci, if when he fell if it were not for his ribs. What kind of damage would have been done to his lungs and heart had he not had those ribs between his heart and lungs and whatever he fell on that broke those three ribs.

God took and made Eve from Adams rib. If you are married to a woman who is a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, than you know how your wife protects you and your children. She stays up nights wiping eyes and nose when you are sick, she changes bed pans and even sheets when you make a mess. She cries when you are hurt and hugs you when you are cold. In other words she is the perfect match for you. She fits you better than a glove, she fits you like a part of your body, like a rib.

Have you ever wondered how important your marriage is in God's eyes? How important it is for you and she to be absolutely faithful to one another? How absolutely important marriage is in God's eyes?

Think about this:

In Gods eyes a marriage can not be dissolved because a husband beats his wife. It can not be dissolved because a husband gets drunk and gambles away the rent money. It can not be dissolved because a husband commits a murder and goes to jail for the rest of his life.

No, it can only be dissolved because a husband or a wife commits adultery.

Now I know there are a lot of preachers out there telling you wives that if he looks at your crosswise you can divorce him. That if he hits your or the kids or that if you think he will hit you or the kids, you can divorce him. Well to them and you I would say, "Show me the Scripture that supports that horse dung."

Jesus, aka GOD, said: Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, 'Thou shalt not commit adultery:' But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

It hath been said, 'Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:' But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:27-32 ACP/KJV)

Why do you think that Jesus/God, decided that only for adultery could a marriage end? It really is simple. To hit someone or even to kill can easily be a spur of the moment thing, you loose your temper reach out and hit. But, adultery, that is not a spur of the moment thing, no it is a cold and calculated act. An act that a man or woman does knowing full well that they are risking family and marriage. Have you ever really read what God caused Paul to write to the Romans in chapter two?

11. For there is no respect of persons with God. 12. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13. (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (Romans 2:11-16 ACP/KJV)

Do you know what Paul is talking about? He is talking about what we call your conscience. That little thing inside each and everyone of us, even the heathens, that let's us know when we are doing something wrong, something wrong in God's eyes. Adultery is a cold and calculated act, it is an act designed to ruin families. Men, do you really think your daughters ever really trust you again after you get caught lying and cheating on them and their mother when you get caught committing adultery? Mothers do you think your sons have anything but hatred in their hearts for any man you sleep with other than your husband?

How often I have heard this bull, "Well she is cold, she never says yes in bed" or "He is always too busy for me, he comes home to tired and I am so in need of ..." If your marriage is based on God's principals for marriage and not Dr.. Spock's of Ophrah Winfrey's, than this is plain and simple bull dung! In the secular world they call it being frigid, in the Word of God it is called sin.

Look here:

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (1st Corinthians 7:1-5 ACP/KJV)

The bottom line on what Paul is saying is that there is to be no sleeping around, that once a man and a woman are joined in marriage, she is his and he is hers, they are not to say, "Not tonight, I have a headache." But instead put the needs of the other ahead of yourself. And don't go faking sleeping....

How open is marriage suppose to be? How restrictive is it? Where are the yes you cans and no you can't's?

I want you to seriously look at what God has said in Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I'm going to shorten it for you: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination:

Now, I want you to think about this, God knows the English language, He knows the French, Italian, German and every other language under the sun better than anyone else. So He is fully capable of saying exactly what He wants to say and in exactly the language and word He wants to use. God did not say: Man and woman shall only utilize the missionary position and only have relations when they are wanting to have children. No, that is not what HE said at all. What HE said was. That no two men should do what is only allowed between husband and wife. Two men can not have the type of relations that result in children, so, what God is saying here is that anything two men can do is un-permissible, it is only allowed between a husband and a wife. As a matter of fact, God uses what is allowed by husband and wife to do as an example of what two men can not do together.

Now, how is it that your wife is frigid or that you are to tired or that your sex life is too boring? If your marital sex life is boring or you are to tired or your wife falls asleep claiming she has a head ache. Than how about reading God's word instead of watching those stupid televison shows at night? If you and she were reading and studying the Bible each night, you would have known that God has made the marriage bed a wonderful place to spend some time, to relax, to rid yourself of the cares of this world, and more. Why it is even a good place to get some sleep.

If you take the time to read the Bible, you will notice that a man hitting his wife is not punishable by death, a man hitting is kids or gambling away the family rent in a drunken stupor is not punishable by death, but adultery and sexual acts outside your marriage are punishable by death. And just because the judges here on earth don't enforce God's laws and His mandated punishments, He does and if you think you might just avoid that court room; And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Want a good happy solid marriage? Burn the TV, blow the dust off your Bible and get your nose into God's word. Moms teach your daughters God's rules for a happy marriage and Dad's teach your sons. And you know what? The divorce rate and adultery rate between Christians will go to zero.

I want to close by asking you to pray for two things, one pray that HR-552 will pass. And two, pray that Terri Shivaro's father would find the guts to go rescue her. If Terri's father were into the Bible instead of into the words of the pope, Terri would be safe and sound in her parents home. Not on the verge of being starved to death, waiting for the government to rescue her.

Lord, help us, please. Amen.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac, Cecily, Steve, and Rev. Jim Marstaller to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is Saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
