Today's Christian thought: Friday March 26th, 3004

The key to remember is that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are all one and the same!

As we go through Mark chapter three today, we will see many things, but there is something I would like to draw your attention to. And that is how those who believe had their wishes and prayers answered. That and how Jesus separates earthly/secular friends and family from true believers.

Every once and a while you will see a prayer request on the top of the index, links, and daily thoughts page. I bring these important request to you because I know that most of you who come to ACP are true Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, smokey Christians indeed, but true Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians nether less. As we enter mark three, would be a good time to give you an update on some of those prayer request.

Julia and Molly: Safe and sound, Molly is getting baptized and both mom and daughter have found and are attending a solid church.

John Ashcroft: Out of the hospital and home recuperating.

Will and his daughters: The satan worshiping witch that Will was dating went and had her foruen told by another witch, Will wasn't in the fortune so she broke up with Him. He is now asking his mom about his joining a young single Christians group in her church.

And of course Cecily: God healed Cecily's 'shadow' in her lung, just healed it so that it completely disappeared.

So, do we rest on our prayer laurels? Did Jesus rest after a few healings? No, so I guess we are open for prayer request. Now, without furher ado, let us get to God's holy and decisive word:

Mark Chapter Three

1 And He(Jesus) entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. 2 And they(the religious leaders) watched Him, whether He would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse Him. 3 And He saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. Can't you just picture those religious leaders as they screwed up their faces and scowled at the Lord, just daring Him to do or say anything contrary to their ttraditions.

4 And He saith unto them(the religious leaders), Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. 5 And when He had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him. On the top of the links page, ChristianPatriot.com/links.htm is a picture of Jesus looking down at the world with a tear running down His face. I sometimes think that we have become such an errant world that the Lord no longer looks on with anger, but with a sense of real sorrow. A sorrow beyond anger, a sorrow that comes from knowing that most are going to the lake of fire.

7 But Jesus withdrew Himself with His disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judaea, 8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things He did, came unto Him. 9 And He spake to His disciples, that a small ship should wait on Him because of the multitude, lest they should throng Him. 10 For He had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon Him for to touch Him, as many as had plagues.

11 And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him, and cried, saying, "Thou art the Son of God." 12 And He straitly charged them(commanded them) that they should not make Him known. The devils got on their knees before the Lord, but the servants of these devils, the religious leaders only scorned. They didn't even have the sense to worship the Lord. A few years back, we invited a ucc pastor and his congregation to a Easter sunrise service. The pastor of the church my wife and I attend and I got together and decided that the best thing to do would be to have the ucc pastor read John 3:1-21. He did and he did a good job, so when he came and sat down beside me I congratulated him. I will never forget his words, he said to me "Ya, if ya believe that stuff." That ucc pastor would have been right at home with those religious leaders 1,973 years ago and unless he changes his ways, he will get to spend all eternity with many of them.

13 And He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him. 14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: 16 And Simon He surnamed Peter; 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and He surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: 18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, 19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed Him:

and they went into an house. 20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 And when His friends(secular world friends) heard of it, they went out to lay hold on Him: for they said, "He is beside Himself(insane)". You know, I know exactly how the Lord must have felt as these secular friends came trying to take Him away for His own good. A few years back, when my Roman Catholic earthly sister got it through her head that Cec and I were not Roman Catholics, but Born Again Christians, she went to her priest and gave him money and they two knelled down and prayed, to who ever RC's pray to, asking for our souls. Thank God the Good Lord protected us from their god.

22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, "He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth He out devils." 23 And He called them unto Him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30 Because they said, "He (Jesus ie: God) hath an unclean spirit." Let's look at what Jesus has said. He says that you can blaspheme but you can not blaspheme against God the Holy Ghost, but since God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are all one and the same. If you are going to blaspheme, it had best not be against Them individually or jointly. Before saying that Jesus showed all around how foolish the religious leaders were by stating something that everyone knows. Theat the best way to defeat is to divide and conquer. And that as long as an army, nation or family stays together and is indivisible, they are very hard to defeat. Pray for our nation, for we are a nation at war and the democrats have put party politics and loyalty ahead of national security at this time. Our nation is divided.

31 There came then His brethren(His earthly brothers and sisters, Mary and Joseph's other children, Jesus's half brothers and sisters) and His mother, and, standing without, sent unto Him, calling Him. 32 And the multitude sat about Him, and they said unto him, "Behold, Thy mother and Thy brethren without seek for Thee." 33 And He answered them, saying, Who is My mother, or My brethren?

34&35 And He looked round about on them which sat about Him, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is My brother, and My sister, and mother. There is clearly a difference between being kin and fellow Christians. While your kin might also be Saved, your first love and responsibility is to your fellow Christians. (Mark 3:1-35 ACP/KJV)

Lord help us to understand, help us to do what is right in Your sight. Help us Lord to be strong in the face of political correctness, help us to stand fast behind those who are Yours regardless of what the peter jennings of the world say. And Lord please continue to bless us and protect us. Amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
