Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 While I cannot vote for her, I must pray for her. Matthew 5:44
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48
I cannot vote for Olympia Snowe, the Republican incumbent US Senator from Maine up for reelection in 2012. As I think of her and her voting record and personal record over the past ten years, I find nothing to cause me to rethink my pledge to not vote for her. Likewise as I ponder her previous ten years, I find reason after reason to pray for her salvation. For you see it is not just me that Olympia hates, it is not just me that Olympia has persecuted and despitefully used, no, she has shown no pity for the baby in the womb, she has shown no caring for the homosexual. She has used the baby in the womb as little blood sacrifices to satan, as a way to garner money for herself, as body parts for the forces of evil under the guise of science, just as she uses the lust of the homosexual to further her own political goals.
Olympia Snowe, whose real name is Mrs. Olympia, John R. McKernan, Jr. has shown no pity, no love, no tolerance for the agenda of Christ. I do not pray for the salvation of Olympia because I want to share heaven with her. No, I pray for her salvation to save future babies in the womb from the slow torturous death of abortion. I do not pray for her salvation so as to spend eternity with her. No, I pray for her salvation so that she will stop hindering the homosexual from hearing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, getting Saved, and receiving freedom from the abominable practice of homosexuality.
I do not pray for the salvation of Olympia Snowe because I love her. I pray for her salvation because my God, my Savior, my Master, Christ Jesus has commanded me to pray for her salvation.
But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6:27-36
Yes, I will continue to pray for my wife, my children, my neighbors, my church and church family, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Michael Savage. But now I will also be praying for Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, and John Baldacci.
Lord, I thank You for opening my eyes, for while I have no want for those that hate the baby in the womb and hinder the salvation of the homosexual to share Your paradise with You and me, I now realize that the only hope of their changing from protecting the abortionist to protecting the baby in the womb and changing and from working to continue the enslavement of the homosexual to satan to the salvation of the homosexual thru Your word is for them to repent and become Born Again. So for that reason, I will submit to You, obey Your command, and pray for them. Amen.
