Friday, April 30th, 2010 What will your death accomplish? John 12:24

Seems as though it has now been about 500 years that doctors have been sucking blood out of people. For the first 350 years they did it with razors, knives and blood suckers found in swamps. For the last 150 or so they have done it by never healing anyone, by hooking them on one drug, or "cure" at a time and leaving them on it for ever. Now they have a law on the books that will make the medical profession even richer, seems there is no end to their greed.

For the last 2000 years folks have been preaching salvation thru Christ and what He did while on earth. Those men don't make much money and are more interested in the health of your soul, in riding your soul of the filth that separates you from eternal bliss, than your money.

1 Then, Jesus, six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom He raised from the dead. 2 There they made Him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with Him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

4 Then saith one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray Him, 5 "why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?" 6 This he(Judas Iscariot) said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of My burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poor always ye have with you; but Me ye have not always.

9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that He was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom He(Jesus) had raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; 11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet Him, and cried, "Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."

14 And Jesus, when He had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, 15 FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION: BEHOLD, THY KING COMETH, SITTING ON AN ASS'S COLT (Zechariah 9:9). 16 These things understood not His disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things unto Him.

17 The people therefore that was with Him when He called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. 18 For this cause the people also met Him, for that they heard that He had done this miracle. 19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after Him."

20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: 21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, "Sir, we would see Jesus." 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. 23 And Jesus answered them, saying,

The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12-1-25

Folks every man, woman and child is going to die, there are no exceptions. You too are going to die, wander thru a cemetery, look at the headstones, each has a time of birth and a time of death. What is your death going to do? How are you going to be remembered? Will you even be remembered? But more important, when you stand before God, before Christ Almighty, what are you going to say? More important what is He going to say to you?

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13

Who are you serving? Are you like so many in the medical profession, serving the things of mammon, or are you like the very few who have put serving Christ first? Or are you like the many, the majority, who serve mammon by default? With every tick of the clock you work your way closer and closer to that microsecond of judgment. With each passing second, you are not adding more time to your life, you are losing time. With each passing second you have less and less time to ensure your eternity with Christ. You cannot serve both Christ and the things of this world folks, you must choose to give up the world and serve Christ or you will not be with Christ. You cannot follow after Judas Iscariot and Christ Jesus. You cannot practice medicine for profit regardless of the truth and Christ at the same time.

The Death of Christ changed the world, the deaths of Peter, James, John, Matthew, Luther, Wesley, and Billy Sunday meant something, as they were laid to rest, they started sprouting life eternal for many. The laying in the ground of many doctors I have known, many politicians I have known and sadly a few preachers I have known have raised nothing but the numbers in the eternal damnation of the lake of fire to come.

That dash on your tomb stone between the date of birth and the date of death is going to determine what kind of seed you are. Are you to be a grain of wheat that brings forth 20, 30, 50 or hundreds, or are you gong to be a squash seed that has been kept to wet and cold and rots?
