It's not dirty hands, it is a dirty heart you need to worry about.

Mark Chapter Seven

1 Then came together, unto Him, the Pharisees and certain of the scribes which came from Jerusalem. 2 And when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashed, hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. 4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables.

5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why walk not Thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?" 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, THIS PEOPLE HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME (Isaiah 29:13). Now, before you shake your head up and down with a self righteous hummm, let me ask you this, is there anything within your denomination that puts tradition of that denomination ahead of or in lieu of Scripture? No, how about anything they do or condone that is not in Scripture?

7 Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition (see Proverb 1:25). 10 For Moses said, HONOUR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER; AND, WHOSO CURSETH FATHER OR MOTHER, LET HIM DIE THE DEATH (Exodus 20:12 & 2117): 11 But ye say, "If a man shall say to his father or mother, 'It is *Corban', that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free." * Dedicated to the Temple or to God. Note dedicated, not donated ot or given to, only dedicated to. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. I am not going to ramble on here, I am simply going to ask you straight out, do you tithe? Do you take care of your dad and mom? Will you move your dad and mom into your house instead of a nursing home? No where in Scripture does God say that if you don't tithe you shall die the death, but not caring for parents is another thing.

14 And when He had called all the people unto Him, He said unto them, Hearken unto Me every one of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. 16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

17 And when He was entered into the house from the people, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. 18 And He saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? 20 And He said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21&22 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. It is not the disease of AIDS that defiles a man, it is the moral corruption that started with lust in the heart that defiles him. It is not the sexually transmitted diseases that defiles a man or woman, it is the bankrupt morals, the lust of the eye, the lust of the heart, the adulteries, that caused him or her to get the disease that defiles him or her. Oh yes, the disease will ravage the body, but it is not that disease that caused the person to be defiled it was that which caused the action, the lust within the heart. How many tiems have you heard liberals tell you that Jesus is the God of love, that He would never tolerate a preacher yelling at someone or raising his voice or condemning and action? Well go back and read verses 18 and 19 again, would you tell me how that could be said in a nice not condemning manner. The lord was coming down on them like a ton of bricks. Go on and reread 20-22 again, can you not see the "let me explain it to you again" look on the Lord's face.?

24 And from thence He arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but He could not be hid. 25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of Him, and came and fell at His feet: 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought Him that He would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. 27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs (not the wild dogs that roamed the streets and devoured Jezebel or licked the wounds of Lazarus, but the household pets, that lived in the house, played with the kids and ate table scraps.). 28 And she answered and said unto Him, "Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs." 29 And He said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. 30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed. One of the most amazing things in the Bible is how it is so often a non Jew who shows remarkable faith in coming to the Lord. Remember the Centurion back in Matthew chapter eight? "Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."

31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, Jesus came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis (see Mark chapter 5). 32 And they bring unto Jesus one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseeched Jesus to put His hand upon him. 33 And Jesus took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers into his ears, and Jesus spit, and touched his tongue; 34 And looking up to heaven, Jesus sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. 35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. 36 And Jesus charged(instructed or ordered) them that they should tell no man: but the more He charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; 37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, "He hath done all things well: He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak." How little faith and asking it takes to get the Lord to open His heart and help us. Have you seen anything so far in Matthew of Mark that shows anyone coming to the Lord and saying "here is my tithe, now please heal me? No, what we have seen is that the Lord is not interested in your money, He wants you to further His kingdom with it, but He certainly does not require you to tithe first before being Saved. (Mark 7:1-37 ACP/KJV)

How wonderful Scripture is. Oh how I find relive, safety and inner peace in God's word. I pray you are enjoying this new method of doing the thoughts as much as I am. You don't need me to warn you about John Kerry or to remind you of the horrors of the Clinton regime. What you need me for is to help you start to appreciate and turn to the Word of God, the Lord Jesus and His gospels. And that is what I pray I am doing.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you and may He bless you abundantly by hearing and granting your unselfish prayers and blessing your life with your needs. Amen.

I would also like to thank the Lord that Dorothy has a large print Bible, while I am not to happy about the way she got it, I am pleased that she has it. And now my prayer is that she will read it and the Lord will let the Holy Spirit guide her to understanding it. Amen.

The Lord be with you all and please keep me in your prayers. I have some very important decision to make over the next few weeks or months, I need your prayers. Amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
