Are you man enough?
If you husbands will love your wife as Christ loves the Church, you won't need to raise your voice or hit her, for she will love you so much that she will revere you. God Himself has ordained it: Unto the woman He said, ... your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16b ACP/KJV)

Thanks to ACP's Steve Burzlaff, we now have the Evanglical handout, "What If" in PDF format.

Thank God for Steve,

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.

Day 29 of 40,

The family

2 Corinthians 7:9&10
Thursday, April 5,2007

In but three days we will, as Born Again Christians, be celebrating our Lord, Christ Jesus' victory over the grave and death. Today is Thursday and many of us, including me, believe that today is the day that the Lord was offered up as the Supreme Blood sacrifice for our atonement. But, alas, the vast majority of Christiandom believe it was tomorrow, the day referred to as Good Friday. I love that controversy for it causes folks, Christians and heathens as well, to focus on what The Lord God of Creation did for us and His conquering of death, sin, the grave and satan on Easter morning.

In Paul's second letter to the church at Corinth, he tells them, and us, how he rejoices in their having sorrow for that sorrow causes them to repent. Repenting over the loss of worldly things will, in all probability, not turn you to Christ but the sorrow that comes from remembering what the Lord did for you on the cross should turn you, to not only repent, but get you thinking about the way you are using your life to repay Him, to thank Him.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:9&10)

I don't know how often you focus on what the Lord did for us, but as you take communion this coming Easter morning, I would pray that you would allow the Holy Spirit to help you focus on and remember just what Jesus has done for us.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.

After the same manner also He took the cup, after He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, and as oft as ye drink it, drink it in remembrance of Me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew (proclaim, promulgate:--declare, preach, shew, speak of, teach) the Lord's death till He come.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, without reverence, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh condemnation and damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. (1 Corinthians 11:23-32)

Right on 2,007 years ago The Lord God of Creation left His throne in heaven and came to earth in the form of a baby in the womb of a young girl named Mary. Over the next 33 years He lived as a human growing from a speck in the womb to the perfect payment for our sins. As we approach the day of Resurrection, the most high holy day of all Christiandom, let us commit to rereading the Gospel accounts of what Jesus did for us, and then let us examine our own lives and seriously ask ourselves if we are, by our lives, properly thanking Him.

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus, Thank You for what You did for us. And Lord, help us to respond quickly to the things we do in our lives that result in the Holy Ghost urging us to repent. Help us Lord to stop thinking in terms of today but instead to think of You and what You have done for us.

Help us Lord to remember that: The LORD our God is one LORD: And that we shall love the LORD our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our might. And these words, which You have commanded us, shall be in our hearts, that we shall teach them diligently unto our children, and shall talk of them when we sit in our house, and when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise up in the morning.

Help us to be convicted by the Holy Ghost to understand that if we focus on and judge all of our speech, dress, actions and thoughts by Your words, we will be living a life much more thankful to You for what You did for us.

Thank You Jesus, for it is in Your name Lord Jesus that we pray to the Father. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
