Are you man enough?
If you husbands will love your wife as Christ loves the Church, you won't need to raise your voice or hit her, for she will love you so much that she will revere you. God Himself has ordained it: Unto the woman He said, ... your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16b ACP/KJV)

Thank God for Steve,
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
Day 30 of 40,
Do your children feel loved enough by you and safe enough with you to come to you and confess when they have done something wrong? How about if they only considered doing something wrong, could they come to you? Would they come to you? How about your wife, could she confess an error to you?
In James chapter five we read: Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (James 5:13-15)
Sick is not just physical sickness like a cold, cancer or broken bones, no it is moral, spiritual, mental, and the sickness one gets in the pit of one's stomach from guilt and fear. How is a father to know to pray for the sickness of guilt associated with having done something wrong if the his kids don't feel safe enough or loved enough to come to him and confess? How are you to council your teen son if he doesn't feel safe enough to come to you and tell you that a girl in his class invited him to a hooking up party? Or how do you pray for and council your daughter if she doesn't feel safe enough or loved enough to tell you that she and some of her friends were thinking about shop lifting at the neighborhood drug store?
Is your relationship with your family built upon the teachings of Ephesians?
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Are you afraid of going to Jesus with a confession? Should your wife feel any less secure in coming to you to confess?
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22 through 6:4)
Just as you feel safe, secure and loved when you go to the Father in prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus, so should your wife and children feel secure, safe and loved when they have a confession to make. Does your wife feel loved, secure and safe enough in your marriage so that she will come to you and confess that she feels sexually neglected, before it develops into something much, much worse.
In Psalm 139 we read: Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23&24) Should your wife and kids be able to ask any less from you as the one whose position in the family is compared to Christ's in the church?
Men, as we ponder what Christ did for us over the four day period beginning with Luke 22:1 and ending with Luke 24:6a, ponder this as well. Do your wife and children know that you would do that for them? If they do, they too would say, as did God the Son said to God the Father; Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done. (Luke 22:42)
As we close today, let us pray that we have raised our wife and children to know that we would die for them, that we are always there for them, that we love them unconditionally. That they know they can come to us with any problem, confession, and fear. That our wife, our daughters, and our sons know that they can hide behind us, lean on us, and know that we will carry them. And may God curse those who would harm or come between us and our families, regardless of position.
Lord Jesus we thank Thee, we thank Thee Lord for the love that You have for us, a love which is so intense that you suffered and died for us centuries before we were even born. Thank You Jesus, amen.
Gentlemen, there is a woman in my home church in Maine who has a son of sodom trying to disrupt her family. Join with me in asking the Lord Jesus to deal with that homosexual before he can do anymore harm. Go with me further in asking the Lord to deal with those in the court system that protect and do not prosecute this radical sexually perverted sodomite. Let us ask the Lord to do whatever He has to do to protect this young woman and her family from this pervert and his allies. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
