Rev. Bob Celeste

Only we ourselves can separate ourselves from the Christ.

April 26th, 2006

As you read this, somewhere in the world a Christian is being lead to be either tortured or executed. He or she will be raped, beaten, tortured and slowly killed unless they deny the Christ. But, what about us here in the USA? How about those in England, France and throughout the rest of Europe? Are we tortured for Christ? Are we raped for the Lord? Are we killed for His name?

Yet as the true body of believers grows and grows throughout the persecuted Christian world, here in the USA and throughout Europe, the Christ is denied without the trace of or even the hint of torture, persecution, rape or death.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? for He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, FOR THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL THE DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER (Psalm 44:22).

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:31-39 ACP/KJV)

It is only we who can separate ourselves from the Christ, the Lord of lords, the King of kings, the Messiah, Christ Jesus. I am so saddened when I see American after American turn from the face of God, spit over their shoulder and join the ranks of satan's army.

And for what? What is it that they turn to satan for? Why do they refuse to honor and serve He who gave His life for them?

Christ Jesus foresaw this time, He foresaw and warned us of these times, He even gave us written testimony of what would happen and a description of it's happening.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded (to inflate with self-conceit), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. From such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as Jannes and Jambres also was.

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:1-13 ACP/KJV)

Yes, we in the states have not been tortured into giving up Jesus, we have not been persecuted, murdered, raped or any such thing, we have simply turned our backs on the Lord and followed the course of satan via the Republican and Democrat parties.

I listen with amusement as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity beat up on the Republicans for letting the Democrats set the agenda, yet nary a word is said about those within the Republican party that sell the very soul of the nation to satan for less than 30 pieces of silver. Yet how many of you pray for the salvation of Rush and Sean?

Guys we are in troubled times, the Lord could come at any time, yet, what are you doing prepare a welcome for Him? Go to the mall, go to a High School, go anywhere where there are people, sit down and read your Bible, and spend an hour praying for the salvation of this country and the peace of Jerusalem.

Let me ask you a question, do you ever hand out tracts? Do you have any tracts? Do you even know where to get any tracts? I'll bet you know where you can buy beer, wine and playboy magazines, but not tracts, how sad. Our Christ went up on a cross and shed His blood for you and you do nothing for Him? Why? Why not?

Each Tuesday or Thursday there are no less than six reports in Christian-news-in-maine.com of Christians being persecuted for Christ. The stories of their bravery and commitment to Christ is inspiring, but only to those who care and read about it.

Do you remember a while back I did a thought on Matthew 10:33 and the word deny. Perhaps some time you might want to all go back and read it.

Oh Lord God of Creation, wake us up. How we languish here in our decrepit filthy clothing, unwilling to raise a finger to prepare this earth for Your return. Wake us up Lord, don't let us slumber in total oblivion, give us a nudge, a shove or even a kick, but wake us up Lord, for thy sake and the sake of the Unsaved, wake us up Lord. And yes Lord I understand what I'm asking for. Amen.

Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.

Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
