Pastor Robert M. Celeste MCAC

Gentlemen, there is a Pastor of a small church in western Pennsylvania, His name is Rev. Don Demars, I need him, his wife and his ten kids here in Maine with me. Please stop what you are doing, go to the Lord and ask Him to make it happen. Jesus knows the problems and difficulties we face in making this happen, and it is only with His help that it can happen, so please go to the Lord in prayer.

Today's Christian thought: Friday April 30th, 2004

The signs of spring abound.

Yes, even here in Maine the snow is just about gone, the ice has all but disappeared from the lakes and ponds, the ground is getting warmer, the frost less often and less severe, the buds starting to show and the summer birds starting to appear. Yes, by these signs we know that spring is here and summer can not be far behind. We can all read these signs of the seasons, we know when the snow flies and the thermometer dips that winter is coming, that when the thermometer reaches into the nineties that summer is here and that when the leaves on the trees are changing colors and falling that fall is in the wind.

But what about the signs of the times? How good are you reading them? Do you keep up with the news? Do you ignore the rants of Peter Jennings and his ilk and instead turn to the internet news services for accurate, timely and more honest news? If not, how are you to perceive the signs of the times? Or are you going to be asleep and miss out? Oh that is not to imply that Christians who are sleeping at midnight and the Lord raptures His church will be left behind, but it is to say that those who do not realize how late it is may not be doing all they can to rescue souls from satan.

Today in mark 13, we are going learn, from the Lord, the signs of His return. First for His bride and then for His tribulation saints. ACP's link page tries to make it easy for you to keep track of the news, our new Christian-news-in-maine.com is designed to ultimately do the same but in more detail. If you don't stay up on the real news, you are missing out on seeing prophecy unfold before your very eyes.

Mark Chapter Thirteen

1 And as Jesus went out of the temple, one of His disciples saith unto Him, "Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!" 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. In 70AD, Titus came to Jerusalem, killed over 1.3 million Jews, took over 1 million as slaves to be sold, fodder for the arenas, and totally destroyed the temple, leaving only the western foundation wall, now known as the wailing wall. This opened a whole new chapter in history, with this enslavement of the Jews, came an unwritten rule that lasted for almost 1900 years, an unwritten rule that allowed the rape of Jewish girls anywhere at any time with total impunity on the part of the rapist. This resulted in millions upon millions of babies being born world wide with Jewish blood and Jewish genes. You may very well be a Messianic Jew, for way down in your family line you may have a young Jewish girl who was raped, as your great, great, great, great grandmother 15 times removed. Don't laugh, remember who God's chosen are.

3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately: 4 "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?" 5 And Jesus answering them began to say:

Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6 For many shall come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ;' and shall deceive many. 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. The little tin god of islam, allah comes to mind. And I would guess that with a billion or so muslims running around trying to destroy everyone who is either Jewish or Christian, I would have to suppose that when Jesus said 'many', they qualify.

9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them. 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. I love these three verses, 9,10&11. They can be summed up with the old saying, "don't worry, be happy" for the Lord your God will take care of you.

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: Starting in verse 12, we have passed the Rapture and are now into the things that will happen during the tribulation. For those who have forgotten, you can go here for the Book of Revelation christianpatriot.com/revelation.htm and here christianpatriot.com/revelation_with_commentary.htm for the Book of Revelation with commentary Family members who take the mark of the beast will turn in family members that don't, those professing a trust in Christ will be hated, hunted down, and put to death.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. The end here means two things, those who die during the seven years holding on to their faith in the Lord and those who make it through the seven years with their faith in the Lord intact even though some will have believed since five seconds after the Rapture and others only in the last five seconds before the Lord's triumphant return.

14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet (see Daniel 9:27 & 11:31), standing where it (anti-Christ) ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: 15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: 16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. 17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. 19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. 20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days. Starting in verse 14, the Lord is talking about the great tribulation time, the second 3.5 years. While this time of sorrows seems tough, and the first 3.5 years of tribulation seem impossible, the last 3.5 years will be, except for the grace of God truly impossible.

21 And then if any man shall say to you, 'Lo, here is Christ'; or, 'lo, he is there'; believe him not: 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. 24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. Verses 21&22 can be warnings for today and the full seven years of tribulation, but 24&25 are definitely signs and warnings for those in the second half of tribulation.

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Verses 26&27 are the last day of the seven years of tribulation, it is the Lord's pay back day. The day satan and his minions will wish they had never been created.

28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things (see verse 4) come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mark 13:1-37 ACP/KJV)

Starting in verse 28 is the Lord telling us, the church of Philadelphia, to get off our duffs, read the signs, and get out there and preach the gospel to every creature. For Jesus has taken a far journey, He has gone to prepare a place for us, a place that must be absolutely glorious, for He created the earth, the heavens and all things in them and on them in six days, yet He has now been gone for over 1,970 years to build this place for us. While gone He has left us with work to do, that work is to preach Him to every creature.

Don't be ignorant my brothers, read the signs of the times, realize how short the time is, how we may be raptured at any moment and that those who are left behind are in for a horrible time,. And that many can be spared that time if only we tell them about Jesus.

The Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus be with you all, amen.

Also ask the Lord to help me know if introducing Brad and Julia would be the right thing to do.

Lord, please send Your servant Don and his family to me, please Lord. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

I would also like to thank the Lord that Dorothy has a large print Bible, while I am not to happy about the way she got it, I am pleased that she has it. And now my prayer is that she will read it and the Lord will let the Holy Spirit guide her to understanding it. Amen.

The Lord be with you all and please keep me in your prayers. I have some very important decision to make over the next few weeks or months, I need your prayers. Amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
