Let me start by giving you a short excerpt from a news article in Christian-news-in-maine.com
"Albert Einstein once said, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left." Why? Because without bees, plants don't get pollinated. Without pollination, say goodbye to fruit, nuts, and some vegetables. We also won't have natural oils (such as olive oil, sunflower oil, hemp oil, etc.). And we don't have many natural fibers, such as cotton.
You can see how important the bee is to our livelihood and existence. Some economists say the bee is worth about $14 billion to our economy.
That's why I was so alarmed to read the latest statistics from the American Beekeeper Federation. According to their latest report, there's been an unexplained collapse of beehives in the country, with entire colonies being wiped out.
"During the last three months of 2006, we began to receive reports from commercial beekeepers of an alarming number of honey bee colonies dying in the eastern United States," says Maryann Frazier, apiculture extension associate at Penn State University. While the problem didn't start last year - it's been going on for several years - it is getting progressively worse. And it's not limited to the East Coast any more.
"Since the beginning of the year," she continued, "beekeepers from all over the country have been reporting unprecedented losses. The losses are staggering: one beekeeper lost 11,000 of his 13,000 colonies; another 700 of 900; another 2,500 of 3,500; another virtually all of his 10,000." The problem is so large, beekeepers are starting to wonder if their industry can survive. ..."

And yes indeed there is a real shortage of bees. But, is it country wide? Is it really worldwide? I don't know, but you guys do. And that is the help I need from you. Could you please look around your own home area and let me know, via the form mail, if there seems to be less honey bees in your area than you remember as a kid or even from the last few years.
Jeremiah chapter fourteen tells us of a time when a nation turns form God. While it refers directly to the Hebrews, I would remind you that what is put in the Bible is not only for those it is addressed to but for all of us to learn what happens when we do what the nation referred to does.
... O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do Thou it for Thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against Thee. O the hope of Israel, the Saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest Thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? Why shouldest Thou be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet Thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by Thy name; leave us not.

Without bees the amount of pollination is cut to close to nothing, and no pollination means no food, no food means famine, famine means riots and anarchy, anarchy and riots mean huge numbers of deaths in the streets, huge numbers of deaths in the streets equal pestilence of a huge magnitude.
To quote Dr. Rowan "I fear a calamity of Biblical proportions may be in its early stages. I hope that I am wrong. But I hope you see how important this is."
God knows, we as a race, certainly have worked hard and done our very best to cause His wrath. And perhaps we have pushed Him to the point where He looks down at us and says: "Pray not for this people for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence."

Lord, Thank You for Your Holy Word, The Holy Bible, for times like this, for it is only Your Word and Your word that gives me any comfort. For in Your Word I find an explanation and it is in Your word that I find the comfort that my faith in Your Word means that this is not my home, my home is with You. Thank You Lord. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
