All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
All too often, or so it would seem, we look at God's commands as suggestions. Yet Scripture teaches us that that is not so smart a thing to do. Let me reiterate something. God created the universe, God created everything in the universe, and as the creator of the universe, God is the owner of the universe As the owner of the universe, He gets to make the rules and judge His creations by the rules He made.
Now my guess would be that He judges us not by the rules we want to obey but by all of His rules. Today we are going to look at the biblical end results of ignoring God's rules.
Now they which were scattered abroad, after and from the persecution that arose about Stephen, traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. (Acts 11:19-21)
Do you notice the words "they which were scattered abroad"? Now why do you suppose they were scattered abroad?
As Jesus was leaving earth to return to His palace in heaven, He said: All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. So be it. (Matthew 28:18b-20) Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15b&16)
But what did they do? Did the believers in Christ go all out throughout the world and preach the gospel as Jesus had commanded them? No, they stayed in Jerusalem where they were comfortable, where their families were, where they had their jobs, friends, political parties, homes, chariots, and bank accounts.
So, what did Jesus do? Why He caused great persecution to come upon the new Christians. Persecution so bad that they ran for their lives. And what happened? Why the gospel got preached throughout all the known world.
Did God do this without first giving them warning? Did not God once before give the new believers an example of He means what He says and if we did not obey he will cause a set of circumstances that force us to obey? Yes He did.
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. (Genesis 9:1&7)
So God tells Noah and his sons to go and repopulate the entire earth. In other words, go out and be fruitful and multiply and go to all over the entire earth. But did they obey God? No, even back then while those who lived through the flood were still alive, men took God's command as a suggestion. Did God let them get away with it?
No, no He didn't:
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, "Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly." And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.
And they said, "Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let Us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:1-9)
Hey, want to see something cute? Look at what they said while they preparing to build this tower to reach up to heaven. "Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." They knew God was serious, but they figured that if they could just get up to heaven and meet with God face to face as they had heard their ancestors from before the fall had done, that they could convince God to let them do it their way instead of His way. Can't you just hear God chuckling?
Well guys, I don't think He is chuckling today. I am starting to think that He is starting to lose patience with His people, not the Jews, not the unsaved, but us, His children, us His adopted by the Blood of Jesus children, us, the Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, us the worldwide church of Philadelphia.
What are you doing to obey His command: All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Have you done anything to obey these commands? Or are you taking them as suggestions? Friday I warned you about the shortage of bees worldwide. I'm not going to say, "as you study your Bible", I'm going to say "If you study your Bible, you will notice that God has used bees as a tool to discipline, punish and destroy on many an occasion. Monsanto, Dupont and other makers of GMO's, poisonous fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides may think their products are simply things they have come up with to destroy 90% of the population to serve their god, but, we who are Saved know that nothing but nothing happens without it being part of God's ordained overall plan for mankind.
I am 100% convinced that God and only God knows the exact day and hour of Rapture. That He and only He knows the exact hour He will return to earth and open the bottomless pit. For He knows the past, the present and the future. I am just as convinced that we, the church of Philadelphia, have it within our power through prayer and evangelizing to put that day off.
As I study, I see that God uses disasters of biblical proportions to not only cleanse the world, but to wake up His people as well. We Christians are about to get our backsides slapped good and hard if we don't wake up and start taking God's commands as commands and not suggestions.
What have you done in the last year to get the Gospel of The Christ into the hands and hearts of the unsaved? Have you done anything? Have you invited an unsaved to church? Have you given an unsaved a tract? Have you prayed for an unsaved, by name, for salvation? Have you even given the Lord a chance to talk to you by dedicating a period of time each day to the study of His word and prayer? Are you complying with Malachi three?
Do you feel sure, in your own heart that if you died right this second you would wake up in the arms of Jesus? This Wednesday we are going to have a special guest thought. It is entitled "The Other Side of the Resurrection", by Dr. Tim Marrow, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque. It is by far one of the most thought provoking sermons I have ever heard. Over the past twelve years, I have only invited four other men to fill this pulpit. I do not turn it over lightly. Three of those four are men whom I feel are closer to Christ than I am, those whom I feel Christ is closer to than He is to me. Dr. Marrow has become the third of what I consider a very select group. Dr. Marrow joins Mr. Steve Burzlaff and Rev. Jim Marstaller.
Lord, is this the time when You will show how much You love us by chastising us? For You have said that You only punish those who are Yours, those whom You love. We, like most errant children, do seek a firm hand to guide us. We like others who have been less than honest and obedient to You, have pushed You and Your patience to see just how far we can go, how far we can stray without being punished, how far we can stretch our wings before You rein us in. Have we reached that point Lord? Are we, as You have warned us in Jeremiah 14, about to be reminded that You are the One and only True and Living God? If so, let us thank You for Your love and pray we can do what it is that You want us to do. Thank You Jesus for it is in Your name I pray. Amen.
This, I think, will be the last on the bee shortage series for the time being. I pray it has opened your eyes to the perilous times we live in.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
