The Messiah had to be born before 70 AD!

God promised both Abraham and David that the Messiah would be of their seed, direct heirs of both of them. God the Father made this promise to Abraham in Genesis and to David In Psalms, Kings and Samuel.

How did Luke and Matthew do their research? No newspapers or video in those days, no family photo albums to go back through, so how did they do such accurate research, so accurate that Matthew could go back to Abraham and Luke back through Adam? They were given their information by the Holy Spirit, but others had to rely upon the official records kept in the Temple at Jerusalem.

The official records, the only records that were kept so free of lies and deception so as to verify the Messiah, were kept in the temple in Jerusalem. That temple was absolutely 100% destroyed with nothing left standing, not two stones on top of one another, in 70AD by the Roman General Titus. With the destruction of the temple 1.6 million Jews were killed another 2 million or so were taken prisoner and used in the arenas, sold into slavery or just transported to other parts of the Roman Empire. And all of the records were 100% destroyed, for the fire that destroyed the temple burnt so hot that it melted the gold and set the sandstone on fire. The records were lost, the only records that were accurate enough were destroyed. Therefore, the Messiah must have been born before the records were destroyed in 70AD. And that is why God spends so much time listing the lineage of the Messiah, Christ Yeshua. There are no more authentic or other records than the two recorded in the Gospels, one here in Luke three and one in Matthew chapter one.

For those who are still waiting for the Messiah to come, I would ask this one question, how are you going to verify his lineage? For since the dispensing of the Jews in 70AD, it has been impossible to keep records and the records for the times from Adam to 70AD are gone.

Now let us go and learn for God, let us go and see what He has for us today in Luke Chapter three.

1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, 2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests. That would be about late 29 or early 30 AD.

The word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 4,5,&6 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias(Isaiah) the prophet, saying, THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT. EVERY VALLEY SHALL BE FILLED, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL SHALL BE BROUGHT LOW; AND THE CROOKED SHALL BE MADE STRAIGHT, AND THE ROUGH WAYS SHALL BE MADE SMOOTH; AND ALL FLESH SHALL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD (Isaiah 40:3-5). Do you see that word 'Repentance'? That is something sorely lacking in what many tell those who seek Christ today, many tell those seeking salvation, that all they have to do is say a short little prayer and all will be hunky dory. Not so, there needs to be real and true repentance, there has to be an honest desire to both confess sins and have the Lord God forgive those sins, that means a true desire to have the Lord take over your life so as to help you not fall into sin again. There is a lot more to say about repentance and as we cover the book of Acts, we will dwell more upon repentance.

7 Then said he, to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, "O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, 'We have Abraham to our father': for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire." There it is again, that word 'repentance', right up there in verse 8.

10 And the people asked him, saying, "What shall we do then?" 11 John answereth and saith unto them, "He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise." I would love to see the look on half your faces if I told you that what you needed to do to prove you're Saved is to give up half of what you have to the poor. I have a feeling that you would emulate the poor little rich dude back in Matthew 19, while muttering under your breath, "Bob doesn't understand, God wants me to have theses things."

12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, "Master, what shall we do?" 13 And he said unto them, "Exact no more than that which is appointed you." Do you work for the government? Do you give the benefit of the doubt to the taxpayer or the government when it comes to collection fees, real estate tax, income tax, etc?

14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, "And what shall we do?" And he said unto them, "Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."

15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; 16 John answered, saying unto them all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and will gather the wheat into His garner; but the chaff He will burn with fire unquenchable." 18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. John the Baptist is a direct and older relative of the Lord, John is the son of Elisabeth, the Lord's mother Mary's aunt. Yet, look at what he says in verse 16 when referring to the coming of the Lord. Whose shoe laces I am not even worthy to kneel down and unloosen. And so many of you want to call Jesus nothing more than Friend, or Big Cohuna or Big Guy in the sky or some other blasphemous hogwash. He is God! Treat and call Him as such. Or pay for your dishonor at the time of reckoning.

19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by John for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, 20 added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.

21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art My beloved Son; in Thee I am well pleased. And God the Father spoke from heaven and said, Jesus, You are My loved Son. Let that sink in guys, let that sink in, for when we get to John chapter one, you are going to read more about just who Jesus is, but in the mean time let it sink in that Jesus, Yeshua in the Hebrew, is the Son of God because none other than God has said so.

23 And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, From here through the rest of the chapter is the lineage of Jesus, all the way back to Adam. Remember what this thought is entitled, for when you are evangelizing a Jew, this is one of the most important and dramatic points you can make. For there are no other records since 70AD, when the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. Any other records that show up would be suspect, since they have not had constant care, watching and security.

24 Who was the son of Matthat, who was the son of Levi, who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Janna, who was the son of Joseph, 25 Who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Amos, who was the son of Naum, who was the son of Esli, who was the son of Nagge, 26 Who was the son of Maath, who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Semei, who was the son of Joseph, who was the son of Juda.

31 Who was the son of Melea, who was the son of Menan, who was the son of Mattatha, who was the son of Nathan, who was the son of David, the king,

32 Who was the son of Jesse, who was the son of Obed, who was the son of Booz, who was the son of Salmon, who was the son of Naasson.

33 Who was the son of Aminadab, who was the son of Aram, who was the son of Esrom, who was the son of Phares, who was the son of Juda, 34 Who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham,

who was the son of Thera. Who was the son of Nachor, 35 Who was the son of Saruch, who was the son of Ragau, who was the son of Phalec, who was the son of Heber, who was the son of Sala, 36 Who was the son of Cainan, who was the son of Arphaxad, who was the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah,

Who was the son of Lamech, 37 Who was the son of Mathusala, who was the son of Enoch, who was the son of Jared, who was the son of Maleleel, who was the son of Cainan, 38 Who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam, who was the son of God. (Luke 3:1-38 ACP/KJV)

Do you see all that the Gospels tell us? Are you starting to understand the God did not leave us to our own devices when He left earth in 33 AD and returned to heaven. But instead left us, what would have to be called an owners manual, for our lives. Let me close with just these two little snippets from Scripture: You can not serve two masters, you can not serve both God and money. And Those who deny Jesus before men, Jesus will deny before God The Father. While both are paraphrases, both are spoken by Jesus.

The Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus be with you all. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

I would also like to thank the Lord that Dorothy has a large print Bible, while I am not to happy about the way she got it, I am pleased that she has it. And now my prayer is that she will read it and the Lord will let the Holy Spirit guide her to understanding it. Amen.

The Lord be with you all and please keep me in your prayers. I have some very important decision to make over the next few weeks or months, I need your prayers. Amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
