Road map to peace? Or destruction? Monday June 2nd, 2003
First, let me make something very clear, I have not seen President Bush's road map for peace. I have read a couple of stories about it, but I am not sure that any of those who have written about it have seen it either. What I do know is that it seems to have been accepted by both the Jews and the Palestinians. And that concerns me, for I do not believe there can be peace in the Middle East till the end of the Tribulation period and then only for one thousand years. Then peace comes for ever for those who are Christ's.
George Bush is more like King David than any other president in the last 100 years. And while I know the President to be a politician first, I do believe him also to be a Born Again Christian, a baby Christian, a weak Christian, a smokey Christian for sure. But a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Saved Christian just the same. And that, the President being Saved, is what makes this such a dangerous time, for both Israel and the people of United States.
King David screwed up, he did something politically correct, something based more upon the politics of the time and his ego, something contradictory to God's word. And the men of Israel payed dearly. This road map to peace of the President's can, and I think might be, much like David's folly and I fear the results might be much the same.
For king David said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, "Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people."
And Joab said unto the king, "Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?"
Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel. And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer: Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon, and came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba. So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days. And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men. (1,300,000 men)
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly."
For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, "Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to Him that sent me.
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for His mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. (70,000 died in 12 hours, 70,000 out of 1,300,000)
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented Himself of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, "Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let Thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house. (2 Samuel 24:2-17)
What had David done so bad? He had gone against the law of God and done a census of the men of Israel. What did God do in return? He killed 70,000 men of Israel, 70,000 out of 1,300,000. God killed 1 out of every 18.5 men in Israel because of what David did. If this road map to peace is as bad as some fear, if it divides Jerusalem up, it violates God's laws and warnings:
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. (Genesis 13:14-17)
In Genesis chapter 13, God gave all of the land to Abraham and his descendants, the Jews, Israel. Before that, in Genesis chapter twelve, God had said this to Abraham concerning his friends and his enemies.
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 12:1-3)
If this road map to peace for Israel brings destruction down upon Israel, will God look at us in the USA as enemies? Will He look upon President Bush as He did upon King David, giving George three choices? And if George makes the same choice that David did, will God send an angel to slay one out of every 18.5 men in the USA?
Let us pray that the President is turning to God before he does anything, for once a man claims to belong to Christ and then spits in the Lord's face, that man stands on the edge of the cliff of pain and suffering for the lambs that follow him. And in this case, the lambs are us.
There are approximately 182 million men in the USA, one out of 18.5 would be 9,837,837 men. Let us pray that the Lord reminds George that 9,837,837 men dead is an awful high price to pay for his ego.
Lord God Creator of all things, Messiah Yeshua, I do believe it is time for you to give George a Gad.
Lord God Creator of all things, we give Thee thanks for giving us the second chance we do not deserve. We thank Thee Lord for our brave troops who are at this very instant freeing and liberating people through out the kingdom of satan. Lord we beseech Thee that Thou would send to our men a Paul, to preach Your word to them while they go to free those held captive by the forces of evil. Touch the Presidents heart Lord, lead him in a direction to send evangelist to our troops, give him the strength Lord to serve You, to use his office, that You have entrusted him with, as Commander in Chief to authorize and send solid evangelical Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian preachers to bring the Word of God to our troops, giving them both reason to fight and the Lord's plan of salvation. And put the end of abortion at the top of his agenda.
Lord Jesus, it is in Thy Sacred and Holy Name I pray, Amen.
red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
