Hebrews 9:27 ACP/KJV. Friday June 3rd, 2005

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27 ACP/KJV). As I get older and more and more friends, relatives and people I know die, the more I realize how much I wish the cult of Roman Catholicism was right and Christ and His Bible wrong. For how I wish it were possible to pray for the dead. I have uncles, cousins, aunts and nephews, friends and former schoolmates, men who served in the Marine Corps with me and others who I shared a common thread with, who have taken their last breathe and are now beyond all hope. But, the cult of Roman Catholicism is wrong and Christ and His Bible are 100% right, for it is indeed appointed unto men to die but once. And then indeed does come the supreme judgement, the judgement of eternal paradise with the Lord Christ Jesus or eternal suffering and pain beyond description with the devil. For you see, there is no biblical basis for praying for the dead and there aint no purgatory!

Why do so many rely on cultist practices and doctrine instead of turning to Christ and His word? I don't know, some say it is laziness, others say it is due to lust and the love of this world. The Bible calls it being blind, having ears but not being able to hear, having eyes but unable to see the truth.

Jesus, who should know, since He created all things, tells us:

Then came together, unto Him, the Pharisees and certain of the scribes which came from Jerusalem. And when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashed, hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why walk not Thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?" He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, THIS PEOPLE HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME (Isaiah 29:13).

Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition (see Proverb 1:25). (Mark 7:1-9 ACP/KJV)

Yes, the traditions of men and cults have come to make the thought of pleasurable life, pleasurable. For with purgatory and prayers for the dead not only does the cult make money, they also claim to be able to avoid Hebrews 9:27 and get a non saved man or woman into heaven. And if one trust in the traditions of men and cults, ignoring the commands and words of the Lord Christ Jesus, than they are indeed blinded. Blinded by the cults and traditions to the truth of God and His word.

So, what does one do to avoid the trap of corrupted Scripture put out by the cults? How does one avoid being seduced by the traditions of men and the cults? There is but one way, and that way is the Christ. The Christ and His Holy word, the Bible. For is not that the way Jesus dealt with the devil when He came out of the wilderness?

James Chapter Four

1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Are not all wars traced back to causes such as greed, sex, lust? Can you not trace other acts of immorality back to the same things?

3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Now ponder on that for a moment, yes, you can ask God for a car, but don't be foolish and tell Him that what you want is a 2005 Caddy to go grocery shopping in.

4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? James is not just talking to men and women who are committing marital adulatory, he is referring to the worse adultery the act of adultery concerning the relationship you should have with Christ. If you put anything ahead of your love of Jesus, you are committing the worst form of adultery. Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, THE SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN US LUSTETH TO ENVY (Ge 6:5; 8:21; Nu 11:29; Pr 21:10) ? 6 But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Think about it, if you put your trust in the things of this world, you may find happiness, but you will not find peace. Only giving your life to Christ Jesus can give you peace. You were created by Him and for Him, so how can you be full without Him?

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and He will flee from you. Once you are truly a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, you can resist satan, you can command the devil in the name of Jesus to leave you alone. And more.

8 Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up. Sometimes the best commentary is a quote from the Lord: ...whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? Now it is important to notice the words "brethren" here, and "brother" you are not to judge another Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. God will do that judging. This is not to imply that you should not judge other things.

13 Go to now, ye that say, "To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:" 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Ah, let us turn to the Lord once again: The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, "What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?" And he said, "This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, 'Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.'" But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

15 For that ye ought to say, "If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (James 4:1-17 ACP/KJV)

Men, heed my words, the time is short, it is time to put aside political correctness, it is time to remove your kids from the public schools, time to turn off the tv and pick up the Bible. It is time to make a choice, for there aint no purgatory and their aint no second chance after you, your wife, your kids or anyone else takes their last breathe. Remember: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment!

Lord Jesus, help us to resist evil, help us to be Yours, give us the peace that only comes from You. Lord cleanse our hearts and minds of the filth of political correctness, lead us not into temptation and deliver us out of evil, give us the daily bread of Thy word and use us to do Thy work. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
