Let me ask you a question. That is assuming you are a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. If the Lord were to rapture His church right this very moment, how many unsaved people would you be leaving behind owing money?
Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another. And ye shall not swear by My name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD. (Leviticus 19:11-14 ACP/KJV)
Tucked in-between the prohibitions against lying and cursing the deaf is the command to pay a man his wages at the end of the work day.
Now why is it so important for Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians to obey the command to not wait overnight to pay a man his wages? How about this, what if the Lord called you home this very night? How about if He were to decide that He has had enough of this perverse generation and raptured His church this very night?
Look, it is going to be bad enough for those who are left behind, but for a man, woman or child to start off the seven years of tribulation thinking that a Christian cheated him or her out of a week, two or three weeks' wages would make it even more difficult for that man, woman or child to put their faith in the Lord in time.
So, do as the Lord says and pay your debts, especially wages. Do not let the sun go down on your not having paid a man his wages or his due.
Why is it that we all know that in order to avoid trouble with our boss at work we had best obey the rules of the workplace, and we know that in order to avoid trouble with the local law we had best pay our taxes and not speed. Yet when it comes to the rules of God, we think we can pick and choose the ones we want to obey and ignore the rest.
But you say, "Hey Pastor, that's Old Testament stuff." And I will say to you, not my words, but the words of the Lord Christ Jesus: Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. And Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
So, if you are reading this at the end of the day and you have not paid the lad for cutting your grass, or the mechanic for fixing your car, or the lady for cleaning your house, or the carpenter for fixing your roof, or whatever, get up, get dressed, get your check book and go pay that person or persons. Who knows your coming out at this hour of the night to pay him or her may just get them asking you why? And you know what? You can use it as a way to break out your Bible and show them.
Something like this:
You knock on their door. The one you owe comes to the door and with a curious look on his or her face says, "Yes?"
And you say, "I forgot to pay you before you left, so I came over to pay you before I went to sleep."
Now maybe, just maybe they might just ask you why you didn't just wait until tomorrow morning.
Praise God, witness time!
You can then open your Bible to Leviticus 19:13 and read them that one verse, and say to them, "You know, the world is in such turmoil and in such a sorry state, that the Lord Jesus might just rapture His church at any time and that time is going to be rough enough without your not having these dollars to help you a bit."
Now if that doesn't get them inviting you in and asking questions, well, just go home and pray the Holy Spirit will get to work on them.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1Peter 3:15 ACP/KJV)
So, some times you not only need to be ready to answer questions about Salvation, you have to help set the stage.
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word, and thank You for helping us to know how to do things to get people to ask us about You and Your only path to salvation. Amen.
Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.
Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
