Rev. Bob Celeste
Yesterday we talked about the tragic death of my daughter-in-law Theresa. Today let's talk discuss Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.
A look at the news, whether it be local, state, national or world tells you that things are coming apart. US Marines who have not even been charged are treated worse by the US Government than muslim terrorist prisoners.
Israel is on the verge of extinction if the democrats in this country and their allies in the middle east have their way. Here at home, teachers and text books continue to tell the lie of evolution, even though they know it is a lie, but, since they have nothing to replace it with, and to them, even a lie is better than giving the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus, even a hint of credit for creating them and the world.
In the last two days more babies in the USA were offered up to satan as blood sacrifices through the legal and police protected slaughter called abortion than people outside the womb died during the infamous satanic attack on September 11th, 2001 and the total military deaths fighting the war on terrorism since 911.
But why Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim? And just what does Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim mean?
Pray <sha'al> for the peace <shalowm> of Jerusalem <Yruwshalaim>: And why are those words in the color of God the Father?
Let us start by looking at Psalm 122.
I was glad when they said unto me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD."
Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good. (Psalm 122:1-9 ACP/KJV)
First, notice for a minute if you will, this sentence: Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together See that word "compact"? It is the word chabar, khaw-bar' in the Hebrew, and it is a primitive root meaning; to join (literally or figuratively); specifically (by means of spells) to fascinate:--charm(- er), be compact, couple (together), have fellowship with, heap up, join (self, together), league.
David loved and feared God way too much to set his throne on a city that he, David, declared to be set up to fascinate, or to be a charmer.
No, Psalm 122 had to be both David speaking and God responding or God speaking and David responding. Now, why would God have declared: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: and then followed that command up with this promise: They shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
Think about that for a moment, but let's look at it from today's perspective, as if God were saying it today to Born Again Believers. Perhaps God would have said it like this:
My people, My servants, My adopted sons and daughters, joint heirs with My Son Yeshua. Pray for peace in Jerusalem, for in doing so, those who love her and pray for her peace will bring prosperity, peace and love within her walls to all those who live in palaces within her walls.
Now just why would God say that and still better why would He call for us who are His to pray for a city sitting on two hills in the middle of Israel instead of praying for peace in Washington, Boston, San Francisco, Boston or some other heathen satan worshiping city in the good old USA?
I'm not going to give you all the answers to that question, no, the answers for that question could easily fill a book or two, but, I am going to give you a pencil sketch answer designed to get you to look further and deeper.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21:1-4 ACP/KJV)
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath Righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath Light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
What agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 ACP/KJV)
You see, there will be no peace on earth as long a satan has dominion, but one day The Lord will rapture His church, then will start seven horrible years, then will come the Lord God of Creation, not as a Lamb, but as the King of kings. He will then end all evil and set up a one thousand year kingdom, and we, the true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, will rule with Him. Near the end of that thousand years satan gets his last hurrah, and then satan, and all who serve him, knowingly or unknowingly end up in the lake of fire and our prayers for Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim are answered.
So, let me add my voice to the words of the Apostle John, Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus. Amen.
Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.
Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
