If you don't train 'em, don't blame 'em
If your son or daughter comes down with syphilis of the mouth, don't blame them if you did not love them enough to either home school them or send them to a Christian School.
If your daughter is having her first, second or third abortion, don't blame her if you wouldn't get out of bed Sunday mornings and take her and your family to a solid Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian church.
If your son has aids, don't blame him if you insisted on keeping him out of the Boy Scouts and instead gave him the politically correct bull about homosexuality being a 'gay' life style.
Now that your kids are grown and out on their own, is the only time you hear from them when they need something? Do they send a card and little more on Fathers day? Would they rather have a cold beer with strangers in a bar than spend an hour or two with you and your iwfe at your home? Don't blame them if you could find the time each night to watch Peter Jennings and comedy central but not read the Bible to them each night.
If you plant tomatoes seeds, you are not surprised when a tomato plant grows and you eventually get tomatoes. You would not expect to get peaches from that tomato plant, so why in the world would you expect your kids to turn out to be good if you fed them and watered them with evil. This may come as a surprise to you, but, you reap what you sow, you don't reap what you want unless you sow the proper seeds.
It never ceases to amaze me how vast the gap is between kids who grow up in a Christ centered home where the parents loved them enough to discipline them and home school them, compared to kids who grow up in a home where for the first years of their lives the morning soaps on tv is their baby sitter and mom and dad could not wait till the kids were off to the public school system.
Go to the mall, go to where kids hang out, look at the kids, but don't blame them, because they turned out exactly as mom and dad trained them. Put your little girl in a belly revealing pants and tee shirt at eight, and you will train her to wear a throng bikini when she is fifteen, so don't cry and moan and groan when she has her third and fourth abortion before she is twenty, she is only turning out the way you trained her.
You see, just like plants, you get with your kids, just what you sow. Try to be their friend instead of their parent and you'll end up with neither a child nor friend, for that is not the way God ordained it to be. The way you train your kids is the way your kids will turn out. I have heard to many times the horse dung of "But he or she came from a good Christian family." That is a lie, for had they been raised in a good Christian family, mom would have been home and homes schooled, dad would have opened the day with prayer and closed it with Bible study. The kids would have been trained to Love, Fear, Honor and Belong to Christ Jesus.
The day of professing to love your kids, to be a Christian, and to send them to the public schools is over. It is an oxymoron.
There is not one public school in the country that teaches that homosexuality is wrong, and that it is the work of satan, and that leads to eternal damnation for one who lives the homosexual life style. NOT ONE!
There is not one public school in the country today that teaches, that you are made in God's image and that you must be Born Again to be Saved. NOT ONE!!
There is not one public school in the country that teaches that pre-marital sex is always wrong, and that God meant for life to include one man and one woman and that, that union is for life, that adultery and pre-marital sex are sins, offensive to God. NOT ONE!!!
So, when you send your kids to a public school stop deceiving yourself, for you reap what you sow. Not long ago I told a local Pastor who at 79, was considering retiring, that I didn't think he could. Not if he was going to turn the reins of his church family over to the man they were considering for pastor. He said, "Why, he went to a great seminary a good bible school, he has been the associate pastor of a good church for three years, why should I not give him control?" My answer to him was this simple: "He lives in Bellingham, Massachusetts, he and his wife do not home school nor do they send their kids to a Christian School, but instead have them enrolled in a public school. How can you have a man who does not love his kids enough to keep them out of the public school system, preach Christ centered family values?"
CHRISTIANPATRIOT.COM has two other pastors besides me, Jim and Steve, both home school, both open the day with prayer, both have bible study in their homes, both live a Christian life that I am envious of. Did they go to a famous Boston University or College like Harvard for their Christian education? No. Did they attend Yale or Princeton? NO. They studied God's holy word, they gave themselves to the Lord God of Creation Christ JESUS, they preach only after going to Him on bended knees asking Him to direct their thoughts, deeds and sermons. And like me, neither feels worthy to be called pastor.
The very first step in training your kids is for you and your wife to be Born Again Washed in the Blood fo the Lamb Christians. The very next thing is for you to belong to and be active in a solid Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian church. And that church must have a preacher who fulfills all of the requirements of the job:
1 This is a true saying,
If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:1-13 ACP/KJV)
Does the pastor of the church you attend meet the criteria? Do the elders? Does his wife? I want you to think about Peter, John, Thomas, Andrew, James and the other original Apostles other than pond scum Judas Iscariot the traitor. Where did they go to school? Did they have fancy credentials? No, but what they did have was a firm and solid grounding in the Gospel of Christ JESUS. And that is what you want your preacher to have, for if you want your kids to grow up straight, clean and Christ', he, your pastor, is going to be the second most important man in their lives.
When I appoint a man as an interim, associate, relieve or other type of Pastor for ACP, ChristianPatriot.com, the last thing I'm interested in is where he went to school, what I want to know is his heart, his preaching, his love of the Lord, his family life, does he love his kids enough to home school them or at the very least put them in a Christian school. That's what I'm interested in. Why? Because God has entrusted all of you to me, Jesus expects me to make sure that every word that appears on ChristianPatriot.com is supported, not with theory, not with some PhD thesis, but the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures.
No, God has not made me responsible for your salvation, that is between you and Jesus, but He has made me responsible for what is preached to you here on ACP. And that responsibility I take to seriously to worry about where a man went to school, for it is his preaching and his life that will effect you and it is his preaching and his life style that I will use to justify my section of him to Jesus.
This is what I expect: When I walk through the gates of heaven, I look forward to Jesus saying to me, "You know Bob, that sermon of Jim's was really good, I kind of wish you had said it., and you remember that one of Steve's about family obligations to one another and Me?" I'll say "Yes Lord." "Well, that was really, really good." Speaking of your picks, you did good with your writers for Christian-news-in-maine.com too. Larry has put more than one smile on my face and Linda, well that girl sure can call a spade a spade, I love her, Fred, boy, he keeps em short, but hits hard and straight." Yup, you did good, welcome home good and faithful servant."
That is what I work for, that is the basis on which I select co-pastors for ACP and editors for Christian-news-in-maine.com . If I take that much care in selecting writers and co-pastors, can't you take a little more care with your kids and wife?
Has it ever occurred to you that ChristianPatriot.com now has Christian-news-in-maine.com to make your job of being a God fearing Home Schooling parent easier? Instead of Peter Jennings and the Portland Press Herald, read what Christians have to say about the news, read news fit for and from a Christian prospective. Read editorials that cover today's events, not for satan's point of view and with satan's spin, but from the point of view of a man or woman whose life is dedicated to Christ Jesus.
How you raise your children determines how they will turn out, who they will serve, and how you will be greeted by Christ Jesus. I will absolutely guarantee you that those who love the gift He has entrusted them with, their kids, enough to put them ahead of a second pay check and home school them are going to get a much warmer hug and greeting than those who offered their kids up to the teachings of the devil by placing them second to that extra paycheck and stuck them in the Christ hating public school system.
Oh sure there are a few dedicated Christian school teachers out there in the public schools system, teachers like my very own wife, but they are very few and far apart, and if your kid is lucky or better yet blessed enough to get one of those few Christian teachers for a year, thank God and build upon that little bit that, that teacher is able to do by removing your child from the public schools and loving him, her or them enough to home school them or at the very minimum putting them in a Christian School.
And as for preachers out there who put their kids in public schools? Well if you are attending a church like the Church of Christ in Conway, New Hampshire that has a pastor that puts his kid in a public school, don't just walk away from that church, run! For how much love can he have for you and your family when he doesn't even love his own son enough to home school him or put him in a Christian school? I don't know if pastors like that are saved, but this I do know, they do a lot more to promote the use of satan loving homosexual embracing public education than they do Christ loving child loving Home Schooling. And this I can assure you of, you will never see a thought, sermon or message written on ACP by a man or woman who dares to get on an alter and preach while he or she puts their kids in the jaws of satan, by entrusting their education to the public school system.
Lessons to learn today:
2. Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32&33 ACP/KJV)
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge. (Proverbs 14:26 ACP/KJV)
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers. (Proverbs 17:6 ACP/KJV)
1. God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7&8 ACP/KJV)
And lest we forget: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Yes, the most important thing at the time of death is whether you are Born again or not, but, would it not be nice to know that you cared for the ones the Lord entrusted to you? If I am so concerned about you, can you not be more concerned about your wife and kids?
May the Lord strengthen those who Christian home school and use Christian Schools and may He convict those who condemn their kids to the horrors of the public school systems. And Lord, since so many insist on putting your gifts to them in the trash heap of public education, would You not rescue those kids by either opening their parents eyes or taking the public education system back? Amen.
PLease pray for Danny Calhoun, Danny and Theresa Gilpatrick, Seth Winslow, George Robert and this ministry and all involved with it.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac, Cecily, Steve, and Rev. Jim Marstaller to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.
There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is Saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.
The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
