Rev. Bob Celeste
As I was driving across the country, I came across a lot of things that reminded me of Second Peter chapter three:
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both(epistle) which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His(Jesus') coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness? Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you (see Romans 2:4); As also in all his(Paul's) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye knew these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
As you read and study the prophetic warning given by God thru His servant and Apostle Peter, you can see that it is not just the evolutionist who is willingly ignorant, or as Dr. Kent Hovind says, "willingly stupid".
As we were leaving Missouri, we stopped at the last rest area before Oklahoma. In the rest rooms where these really fancy new automated sinks. You put your hand all the way in and water comes out, and after you wash your hands and pull them out, a blast of air dries your hands. No faucets, no paper towels, only very expensive technology to assure you of clean dry hands. Now that is one funny and pathetic example of how the secular world can be just as willingly stupid as some in the Christian world are. It has got to be easier and a whole lot less expensive to teach the good people of Missouri to use a faucet and paper towels than it is to put these high tech sinks in the public rest rooms.
But Missouri does not have a lock on willingly stupid, because in Illinois we saw signs that proclaimed the beginning and end of the rest areas. In Texas the company running the wireless internet service for the State of Texas rest area on Route forty just east of Amarillo, refused to believe that the wireless network wasn't working because they had been out there only a week before and fixed the problem.
But is it just in the secular world we find things proving folks to be willingly stupid? What about the so called mainstream denomination churches that profess that the Bible does not cover such things as a prohibition on homosexuality and the ordaining of women? Are they not being every bit as willingly stupid as the good folks in Missouri who waste money with high tech washbasins?
Could any group be more willingly stupid than those who profess to be Christians but send their children to secular Christ denying public schools? What about those who while claiming to be Christians know the law of the road and follow them yet have never taken to the time to learn God's laws?
The Co Pastor of Hosanna Church in Oxford, Maine brought up a good point when he pointed out how so many carry cell phones every where they go, but not their Bibles. Perhaps that's good, then they can call around and find out how many others were left behind at the time the Lord raptures His church because they put more stock in the things of ths world than the things of God.
Jesus said: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Do you see that word mammon? Too often it is interpreted as only meaning money, but that is not it at all. It really means just about anything of this world that you put more time, energy, study or care in than you do Jesus. That means if Jesus isn't first in your life, then He is not just coming in second. He looks at it as if you despise Him. Now that is being willingly stupid!
Jesus also said: But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven. Deny is not just with words. It is with action, dress, speech, the choices you make in life. It is how you raise your kids, treat your wife, what you watch on televison, listen to on the radio and in music, read and a whole bunch more. Perhaps you might want to reread on of my favorite thoughts: A Michaelangelo I am not at ChristianPatriot.com/06_22_2005.htm.
Guys, don't join the ranks of the willingly stupid, get your act together, your priories straight and your Spiritual life in order. Put Christ first, your family second, your job and everything else third. For heaven's sake, we are in a war, get in it. Take a few minutes more and reread Who am I at ChristianPatriot.com/starting_jan_01_2002.htm.
Lord Jesus, help us not to be Willingly Stupid. Help us Lord to understand that what we do here on earth will determine how we spend eternity. Help us to understand that it is better to be a horsefly in Your stables than it is to be the CEO of hell. Help us Lord to focus on trying to please and serve You and not mammon, and help us Lord to put You first and all else last. And Lord please be with those folks that Steve told me about who have just buried their twelve day old child. Amen.
Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.
Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
