Thursday July 9th, 2009 It is that Free Will thing John 3:3

We read John 3:3 “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” And we know that in order for anyone to have eternal salvation, they must be Born Again. So, we pray for the salvation of our loved ones based upon many pieces of Scripture that assure us that if we pray God will answer our prayers. We forget one very important things. Two actually. First is that all men have free will and second is that our prayers cannot conflict with God’s will.

God has no desire to see any go to hell, that is why He came to earth as a babe in the womb of Mary, as the Messiah, to offer, note that word “offer” every man, woman, and child the one and only way to salvation. But, He left it up to every man, woman, and child on earth to make a choice.

Just as Lucifer, one fo the three Arc Angles made the wrong choice, just as Judas Iscariot made the wrong choice, so will many of our kin and those whose salvation we pray for.

Better than to simply pray for ones salvation is to pray that God will put someone in their life who that person will listen to, someone who can and will explain the plan of salvation and the necessity of acting upon it. For the default is not salvation, but damnation.

You can help them along, you can and should continue to pray for them, but, you cannot make the choice for them.
