Thursday July 23rd, 2009 The description of a man hated by the USA Government Psalm 15

Psalm 15 is the perfect Psalm to show the way the government of the US has changed. For 200 years ago the man described in Psalm 15 was the man looked for to hold public office and to be a public servant, today the man described in Psalm 15 is utterly despised and hated by the government and would never get nominated for any office by either party.

LORD, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell on Thy holy hill?

Is it not he that walks uprightly, he that works righteousness, he that speaks the truth in his heart. Is it not he that does not backbite with his tongue, he that does not evil to his neighbor, nor he that does not take up a shameful attitude towards his neighbor.

Is it not he in whose eyes a vile person is found to be contemptible, he that honors them that fear the LORD, is it not a man who stands by his oaths even to his own hurt, a man who changes not his word or oath, regardless of the cost to him. A man that puts not out his money to usury, nor takes a bribe from or against the innocent.

For he that does these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:1-5 ACP/KJV expanded

Today George Washington could not and would not be nominated by either party for any office, yet, he would still be a success. Why, because while our government now looks for men and women, to be in positions of rule, who endorse and embrace the things that God hates, such as homosexuality and abortion, men and women who have homes, businesses, and families still look for men with integrity, honesty and loyalty to entrust with their homes, their business, and their families.

As more and more men and women take a hard and serious look at succession, the search for men as those described in Psalm 15, becomes more and more important. For we have seen what happens to government when the likes of Roosevelt, Carter, Nixon, Clinton, Bush and obama have the reins of power. We have seen the results of having leadership that is more interested in lining their own pockets and garnering individual power than serving Christ and bringing about what is good.

We need men to lead who work upright, embrace righteousness, men who speak the truth from their hearts, men who not backbiters, envious of their neighbors, covetous of power, wealth and all that is evil. We do not want men like those that brought us income tax and the federal reserve. We do not want men of the low caliber of Roosevelt, Carter, Clinton, Nixon, Bush and obama. We need men who are interested not in their legacy but in their reputation, men who look to the description of the man in Psalm 15 and say, in their hearts, “I want to be like that man”. We look for men to lead Maine, in it’s efforts to secede, that like the founding fathers, say: “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

Lord Jesus please bring such men to the forefront in Maine. Amen.
