Thursday July 30th, 2009 I told you so Revelation 21:4 Keyword: Ye Must Be Born Again
When it comes to heaven, there is a great absolute truth taught in the Bible, it is found in John 3:3 and it says “Ye Must Be Born Again!” And there is a great lie perpetrated by the left and those who would have you not follow the path to heaven set out in the Bible, it is thus “many, when they get to heaven, will be astounded by who is there and amazed at those who aren’t there.”.
I want to tell you a story, a story that will be a while off, how far off I don’t know. You see one day I am going to die, just as those who are unsaved, those whom I have tried to evangelize, are also going to die, for we all die and then we all enter into eternity. Those who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians like me, enter into an eternity of heavenly bliss, but those who turned their back on Christ enter into an eternity of pure horror.
Now let us fast forward a bit for this is what is going to happen. One day in heaven, after having a wonderful dinner with the Lord, I am going to get up and walk over to one of the windows of heaven and look out, I will not see you, but you will see me, and as I am looking out from the blissful paradise of heaven and you are looking in from the eternal horror, pain and absolute darkness of lake of fire, as I lift my glass of the most perfect of all wines to my lips, I am going to look out and mouth theses words, “I told you so!”. Now, I won’t remember you, but you will remember me. I won’t feel sorry for you, but you will feel sorry for yourself. I will be drinking the finest of wine and breathing the cleanest of air, while eating the best of foods. You will be parched, starving, and breathing the stench of burning sulfur, burning and rotting flesh and suffering unbelievable torment. Your suffering will be such that if you died of cancer with no pain killers, you will look back to that pain will envy.
How do I know theses things? I know them for in the same book, the Holy Bible, that has given me and you the directions to avoid hell and find salvation, are these truths as well.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 You see what the promise of Revelation 21:4 is, is that we in heaven will have no pain, no suffering, and no sorrow that means that we will have, amongst other things, no memory of those on earth who did not make it to heaven, so much for being surprised by who is or isn’t there.
But the Bible also teaches that you who are unsaved, you who worshiped the creation instead of the creator, you who denied Christ, will see me, remember me, and suffer with burning pain and thirst. Read the account of Abraham, the poor man, and the rich man below, as relayed to us by the Lord Jesus, and you will see that you will indeed see me being comforted while you suffer.
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried. And in hell he (the rich man) lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeing Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Cried out and said, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”
But Abraham said, “Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receiverd thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” Luke 16:19-25
There is a way out, there is but one way out, and that way is found in the Bible, it is “Ye Must Be Born Again!” It never ceases to amaze me how people will put their faith in the weather man but not in Christ, put their faith in a doctor, but not in Christ. How is it that so many will put their faith in the cop on the beat, the judge dressed in black , the lesbian in the Senate, the sodomite in the House of Representative, and even the illegal usurper in the oval office, but not in the Christ, the Creator of the universes.
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than The Light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. I Am The Way, The Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” Jesus 33AD
God gave you a free will, with that free will you decide where you will spend eternity, for Christ has given you the way, He has paid the price of your admission, but you must act. For the default is not salvation, the default, by doing nothing, is damnation!
Just remember this if you choose damnation by not giving your life to Christ, just remember to always keep your eyes on heaven, for one day, one day, I will look out, raise my glass of wine and ,mouth these words “I told you so!”. And then I will turn my back on you and go back to the never ending party, the party where the hot fudge never gets cold and the ice cream never gets warm and melts.
