In first Corinthians chapter eleven verse 29 there is a word. In the King James it's translated damnation, in some other versions it is translated as condemnation or judgement. All are right, yet none gives the full importance or meaning of this word, the word is krima.
Krima: a decision (the function or the effect, for or against ("crime")):--avenge, condemned, condemnation, damnation, + go to law, judgment.
Over the years I have repeatedly told you many things, two of which are, the importance of reading the Bible yourself and that your salvation is completely up to you. Why are these two things so important? Look at Hebrews 9:27 and think about it for a minute. You are going to be judged immediately upon your physical death, you and you alone, you all alone. I am not going to be standing there with you, nor is your pastor, your spouse, kids or lawyer. Just you and God. And at that judgement, there are no fines handed out, there are but two possible sentences, life eternal in paradise with the Lord or life eternal in the lake of fire with satan.
Judgement is not based upon your driving record, local court records or you work record. It is judged upon the Word of God and His word, the Holy Bible.
As you all know, Cecily and I are in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We will be here until next May or later. Since we are not at home, we are not going to our home church, but to one attended by our son. Not a bad church by any stretch of the imagination, but the pastor here is not Pastor Jim Marstaller, Warren Feustel, or Lester Kringle. But that's ok, because my wife and I have studied and studied the word of God and as such look not for a church, when we are not at home, to instruct as to offer fellowship and interesting Bible based sermons. At home I expect Pastor Jim to challenge me each week, to follow the Bible in every bit of instruction and ceremony, but on the road, I'm looking more for Christian fellowship, music and an interesting Bible based sermon each week.
Yesterday was Communion Sunday, and had we not been to this church so many times before, we would have walked out. They practice what I call open unstructured communion. No mention of First Corinthians eleven, no mention of soul searching, nothing, just several plates of quasi Roman Catholic quarter size host with crosses stamped on them serving as the bread and a few racks of drink cups serving as the wine. The offer was made by the Pastor, telling all that they were welcome to partake, then everyone lined up went on down grabbed a cup and a host, went back and chatted while they ate, some prayed, but for the most part, it was more heathen than Christian. Even the Roman Catholic ceremony is closer to the truth.
I heard not one word about how we do this in remembrance of what Christ did for us on the cross. And that is why it is so important for you to know the Bible yourself, not just have a casual relationship and understanding of it, but to know it.
Let us look at Communion as God tells us to do it:
And Jesus took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you. (Luke 22: ACP/KJV)
Now let's look at how Paul explains this to the Corinthians:
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me. After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till He come.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh krima to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. (1 Corinthians 11:23-34 ACP/KJV)
I can not help but wonder how many, at yesterday's so called Communion, fell into this category; "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh krima to himself, not discerning the Lord's body." Not by being misled, but by being willfully ignorant of God's Holy Word.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, your salvation is your responsibility. Don't expect your pastor to be perfect, he is not Christ, but a man like you and me. As all of you who have been coming to ACP for any great length of time know as do all who have asked me questions, it makes no sense to come to me asking a question without including the Scripture relevant to the subject you are asking about, because I do not do your research for you. I will simply reply to you: "So what parts of the Scripture relevant to your question are you having trouble with?" You see my job is not to save you, it is to make you hungry for the Word of God and His word. My job is to get you interested in reading the Bible for yourself. And as such, the pastor yesterday did an excellent job, for his mishandling of yesterday's communion got me so upset that today's thought came out of it. I hope and pray that others also went searching to find out how communion is supposed to be dealt with.
While I am not an artist, I would like you take a minute and go back to one of my favorite previous thoughts, for in doing so, I think you'll start to grasp the importance of doing things right in God's eyes. At some point in time in your life, you are going to take your last breath on this side of eternity, and then, without skipping a beat, you will take your first breath on the side of life eternal. Try to imagine, if you would, a large room, a very large room, say one that is five football fields long, three football fields wide, and one football field high. There are three doors in the room, one that everyone being tried walks through. Yes being tried, for the room is a court room. But not just any court room, this is the last court, it is a court with no appeal. It is a court with no prosecuting attorney and no defense attorneys. Each defendant stands on his own to be judged. That door is at the very east end of the room, close to the North East corner of the room.
Lord, I thank you for helping me understand yesterday. I ask you Lord to be with us and to bless our decision to stay with Dan and Kellie for the next year. Amen.
Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
