Today I am going to use a lot of Scripture. I am going to start with second Corinthians and then go to Jeremiah chapter two. The point is twofold. One is to show you that, you ignore God's words and warnings at your own peril, regardless of whether you are an individual, a family, a company, city, state, country or world. The other is to show you that when you disagree with God, you are calling Him a liar.

Let's start with "you ignore God's words and warnings at your own peril". The quickest and easiest verse to use to demonstrate that point is John 3:3. "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." To ignore God's words in John 3:3 is to condemn yourself to all eternity in the lake of fire.

Now let's look at the second point which is: "when you disagree with God, you are calling Him a liar". Look, if at noon time in broad daylight I tell you that it is midnight, regardless of how you correct me, you are none the less calling me a liar. You are telling me that I am lying to you because I'm telling you it is night when it is day. Well, the easiest verses to use to demonstrate this point are all of the verses in Genesis chapter one verse one to Genesis chapter two verse three where the word "day" is used. God says He created the earth, the heavens and everything in them and on them in six literal 24 hour days and that He rested on the seventh literal 24 hour day. For anyone to disagree with that is to call God a liar.

The bottom line of today's thought is simply, if you are a child of God planning on spending eternity with Him in heaven, than you had best learn to study your Bible so as to know what He has said, what He is warning us about, how we should live our lives and to know when He is being called a liar, either by you intentionally or not intentionally or by someone else.

Today's Scripture is going to make both points and it is up to you to decipher the bottom line.

First let us go to 2 Corinthians to see that "when you disagree with God, you are calling Him a liar".

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle(our bodies) were dissolved, we have a building of God(our immortal indestructible bodies), a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

Now He that hath wrought(fashioned, created, made, owns) us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest(a pledge, i.e. part of the purchase-money or property given in advance as security for the rest:--earnest) of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. (2Corinbthains 5:1-11 ACP/KJV)

In 2Corinthians 5:1-11 we see very clearly that we are to put evangelism first, that we are to be out doing the work of the Lord first and foremost while we are here in the body. If you are doing otherwise, you are not only disobeying God, you are telling Him that He doesn't know what He is talking about when He tells you, His possession, what to do. You are, in fact, calling God a liar.

Now let's, go to Jeremiah and see how "you ignore Gods words and warnings at your own peril".

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after Me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. 3 Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of His increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

4 Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: 5 Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in Me, that they are gone far from Me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

6 Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? 7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled My land, and made Mine heritage an abomination.

8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew Me not: the pastors also transgressed against Me, and the prophets prophesied by baal, and walked after things that do not profit. 9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead. 10 For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. 11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but My people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 13 For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

14 Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled? 15 The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant. 16 Also the children of Noph(Noph, the capital of Upper Egypt) and Tahapanes(a place in Egypt) have broken the crown of thy head.

17 Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when He led thee by the way? 18 And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river? 19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that My fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts. 20 For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, "I will not transgress"; yet when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot. 21 Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me? 22 For though thou wash thee with nitre (mineral potash (so called from effervescing with acid), and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before Me, saith the Lord GOD.

23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways; 24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

25 Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, "There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go."

26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets, 27 Saying to a stock(tree, idol carved out of wood, totem pole, etc), "Thou art my father"; and to a stone, "Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto Me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, "Arise, and save us." 28 But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.

29 Wherefore will ye plead with Me? ye all have transgressed against Me, saith the LORD. 30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

31 O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say My people, "We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?" 32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.

33 Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways. 34 Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents(blameless, clean, clear, exempted, free, guiltless, innocent):

I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these. 35 Yet thou sayest, "Because I am innocent, surely His anger shall turn from me." Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, "I have not sinned."

36 Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria. 37 Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them. (Jeremiah 2:1-37 ACP/KJV first draft)

How is it that so many who profess to read and study God's word can ignore the parallel between Israel of Jeremiah's time and our worldwide governments today? Do you not see the warning to the USA in this? Do you not see how our own government and the people of the USA are shadows of the population of Israel around 600 BC? "You ignore God's words and warnings at your own peril".

"The bottom line of today's thought is simply, if you are a child of God planning on spending eternity with Him in heaven, than you had best learn to study your Bible so as to know what He has said, what He is warning us about, how we should live our lives and to know when He is being called a liar, either by you intentionally or not intentionally or by someone else."

The Lord God of Creation will not remain silent for ever, He will not strive with man undefinedly.

Lord Jesus, I hesitate to ask You to shake us up, but, Lord, we have become so thick skinned, so stiff necked, so hard hearted, so hard of hearing and so dim of sight that we seem to be missing even the most blatant of Your warnings. Lord, each day more and more pass from the mortal body of this world to the immortal body of eternity without having committed their earthly lives to You. Perhaps Lord if You shook a little harder, made Your voice a little louder, more would see the Light and turn from darkness. Amen.

Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
