It is not just the small 'c' Christian church that is in trouble.
Monday July 25th, 2005
Let me take a minute to remind all of you of a summary of ACP's statement of faith:
"I, and all that write for ChristianPatriot.com, are 100% convinced that every word in the Bible is the word of God. That God caused to be written every word in the Bible and that God knew exactly what He wanted to say in His Bible and said exactly what He meant in His Bible. And if we come across a part in God's Book, the Holy Bible, that we don't understand, that does not mean that God did not know what He was talking about, it means that we are not as smart as God and that God has not chosen to reveal the meaning of that part of the Bible to us at this time.
We, at ChristianPatriot.com, read the Bible literally and take it exactly as it is written, we do not believe in private interpretations nor do we believe in any doctrine that can not be absolutely shown in the Bible to be fact, not theory, but fact. We further will always err on the side of conservatism in our reading and writing of God's word." Rev. Bob Celeste, Pastor of ChristianPatriot.com
That said, today I would like to make a point about the war of cultures and how we in the Christian Church are losing it. Before we go any further , I want you to stop reading and, if you do not know your pastor's position on evolution, I want you to call him and ask him. Do not finish this thought till you know where your church stands.
Simply call him and politely ask him: "Pastor, how old is the earth? And do you consider the fossil records account of the earth being millions of years old based upon the fossil remains of dead animals, plants and humans, to be true?"
His answer is absolutely important to the message that I am doing today, for to believe that the earth is millions of years old based upon the fossil record is to call God a liar! So, you must know where your pastor and church stand in order to correct them if they are wrong and congratulate them if they are right.
Made the call? Know your Pastor's and church's position on the historical record based upon the fabricated lie of fossil remains? Ok, let's get to the meat of this message.
Genesis Chapter One
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:1-31 ACP/KJV)
In Genesis chapter one, God says He made the earth and He did it in 6 days. Note that, God said He made the earth in six days. Not content with saying it once, God said it again, as a matter of fact, note the word fact, God reinforced His having made the earth in six days statement by literally writing it Himself.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, 'Verily My sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. And He gave unto Moses, when He had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. (Exodus 31:12-18 ACP/KJV)
God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments, God Himself said and wrote that He made the earth in six days and that He rested on the seventh day.
Now, you know those exciting begats in Genesis chapter five? Well, when you study the begats and then use simple math, you can easily figure that the flood came 1656 years after the fall of man. Continue reading Genesis and when you get to: And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. (Genesis 11:26 ACP/KJV), simple math will once again tell you that the year is 1947 after the fall of man, the sin of Adam and Eve.
Now, let us talk about what the fossil record is. The fossil record is this bunch of horse dung that claims that by using the remains of dead, get that word dead, remains of animals, people and plants, including thistle and thorns, it can date the earth at millions of years old. In order for the fossil record to be true, it would have to mean that there was death before the sin of Adam and Eve, which happened about 6,415 years ago.
Death before that fall? Not according to God:
Genesis Chapter Two
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5 and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He (God) took one of his (Adams) ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
(Genesis 2:1-25 ACP/KJV)
Notice verses 16 and 17, notice that God gave them vegetable matter to eat, not animals, vegetable.
Bear in mind, that the so called fossil record includes the dead remains of thorns and thistles, yet, according to God there were no thorns or thistles before the fall of man, before He chased Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, some 6,415 years ago, according to the dating done by God's book the Holy Bible.
And unto Adam He said:
Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, 'Thou shalt not eat of it': cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (Genesis 3:17-24 ACP/KJV)
See how part of Adam's curse is that the earth will now have thorns and thistles? Well, either God is telling the truth or the fossil record is telling the truth. Can't be both ways folks. Only one is telling the truth and any and all who claim the earth is millions of years old based upon the so called fossil record are saying that the fossil record is true and therefore, by default, calling God a liar.
And what about animal death? Back in verses six and seven of Genesis 3, we find this:
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Notice they made themselves clothing made from fig leaves, but in verse 21 we see that God killed an animal, probably a lamb, and clothed both Adam and Eve. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
The first record of a man dying in the Bible is with the murder of Abel by Cain.
So, the Bible teaches us that man fell some 6,415 years ago, that there were no thorns and thistles on earth until that time and that the first death of an animal occurred immediately after the fall, but before Adam and Eve were banished, and that the first death of a human occurred when Cain killed Abel. The fossil record claims that it dates the earth back millions of years based upon fossil remains of human, animal, and thistles and thorn remains.
Now, if your Pastor and or church has taken a personal or professional position that the earth is millions of years old based upon the fossil record, than you need to go to him and ask him where else God is lying in the Bible. And after showing him this thought, and he doesn't immediately change his opinion, then you need to find another church. For if he doesn't believe that God made the world in six days and that it was a perfect world until Adam and Eve sinned, then how is he to believe and teach with confidence that Jesus was born of a virgin and that Jesus was raised from the dead?
Over the next few weeks there are going to be more thoughts along this line for the time is short and there are too many compromising preachers out there. It is time for us to draw a line in the sand and put the Church of Philadelphia on the right and the lying people pleasing churches of Laodicea on the left with the synagogue of satan.
I want to and need to Thank Rev. Jim Marstaller (www.Christianpatriot.com), Dr. Kent Hovind (www.drdino.com), Rev. Max Day,** and Mr. Ken Ham (www.answersingenesis.org) for their help and research for this series of thoughts. For without their teachings, research and insistence on the importance of this issue, I would not have taken such a strong stand. For I have done this subject before and thought I had done justice to it. I was incorrect for without a true understanding of the insidious lie of evolution and how it attacks the very foundation of the word of God, His book the Holy Bible, and therefore the underpinning of Christianity, many in the true church are being mislead and having the seed of doubt placed in their minds. And to doubt that every word in God's book, the Holy Bible is anything other than God breathed truth, is fatal to the Christian.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
