Thursday August 6th, 2009 from dust to dust 1 Timothy 6:7
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust... Do those words sound familiar to you? Well someday they will be said over you, for you see those are the words that are included in almost every large and small “C” Christian funeral.
The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 1 Timothy 6:7
Hello millionaires and multi millionaires you that call yourselves Christians, what have you done to further the work of the Lord this week? Fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Men, the bottom line is this, you came into this world naked, you came into the world with nothing, and you will take nothing with you when you die. God has blessed some of you with both intellect and money, yet what do you do with it? Have you used it to fight for Christ? If not you have used it, by doing nothing with it, to fight for satan. If you have not used what God has entrusted to you for Him, your love is for money and not for Christ.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. Having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and *perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:6-10
Remember this my dear readers:
5. Once you die there is no changing the eternity you earned while on earth. Your eternity will be with the Lord in paradise or you will find yourself destined for the lake of fire with satan, for, and get this straight, the gulf between heaven and the lake of fire is not purgatory, it is a fixed gulf that separates heaven from the lake of fire.
Perdition is in the Greek, apoleia, it is pronounced ap-o'-li-a and it means ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal):--damnable(-nation), destruction, death, and/or waste.
