Over the last 5 days I asked a number of my fellow Pastors to read two previous thoughts, one of which was available to the public as a whole, the other with a more limited availability. I asked them to help me by reading the two and to comment on those two thoughts because I felt that maybe I was becoming more interested and working harder for secession than in evangelizing. Of the ones I asked, I am proud to say 50% responded within three days, praise be to God. The consensus of these responding was that it appeared that I was preaching secession more than the Gospel of salvation. As of today, that will change! Guys, let me make this perfectly clear to you, I am a lot more interested in your joining me with Christ for all eternity than having a free country to live in.
Before I continue, let me give you the address for the two thoughts that I had asked these Pastors, all men whom I highly esteem and respect, to evaluate for me.
ChristianPatriot.com/secede and ChristianPatriot.com/05-11-2010.htm
The comments I received, got me to thinking, wondering when this change really started to take place, so I have gone back and looked at previous thoughts till I came to the one that I thought was the real beginning of my more emphasizing secession than Christ and salvation through His Blood and the cross.
I believe I have found it, and I think once you read it and take a moment to think about the time frame and what Congress had done the night before, yu may start to understand what prompted this change. A change I will flatly tell you is going to stop as of today, for I am going back to having my primary function as a ambassador for Christ to men and primarily to men who carry guns, love their families and are members of a militia.

An open letter to Pastors in Maine Romans 13:1-7 Key word: secede
Well my brothers of the clergy, the time has come for you to ponder your/our future. For you see, today all of us must decide what we are to do. Shall we preach God's word about homosexuality, homosexual behavior and homosexual marriage or shall we not? For you see, the US Senate has joined with the US House of Representatives and last night at 10:51PM voted by a margin of 63 to 28 to make it a federal hate crime to preach God's word about homosexual behavior in all forms.
To preach the below Scripture and comments is going to be, as soon as the usurper signs it, a federal felony.
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:1,2&13
It is important for all to understand that the words above are not the words of Moses, but are the commands of God written by Moses. Moses was the secretary, God was the dictator of those commands. Society is to have laws making it a capital crime to abort babies and have homosexual relations.
As I see it, those who preach what God said, not what they think God meant, are now faced with three choices.
The first choice is to preach God's word and face an angry federal prosecutor.
The second choice is to not preach God's word and face the angry Christ.
The third choice, the one I have chosen, is to preach Christ's word and work to get Maine to secede. But until that time, I will go with Choice # one. A state that becomes an independent free nation is not subject to US laws, rules, taxes, mandates or anything and therefore Preachers in that state are free to preach the Word of God and His word, from In the beginning GOD... to The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all. Amen.
For while Romans 13:1-7 seems to make it clear that we are to obey secular law, the verses themselves, as you will read below, are difficult to understand.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resist the power, resist the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
For, for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. Romans 13:1-7
Many a Pastor has wrestled with these verses, trying to find justification in obeying a government that makes it legal to perform abortions, to have homosexual relations and even homosexual marriage. Now with this so called hate crimes bill, a law that once signed by Obama, will not only protect the likes of pedophiles, but put God fearing men of God in prisons. How do we now honor, obey and follow the government of the United States?
There has, for a long time, been a small but growing secession movement in Maine, made up of business men tired of federal taxes and regulations, educators who are sick and tired of the federal bureaucracy and mandates, office holders, state and municipal employees tired of the yoke of federal burdensome regulations and mandates, fisherman, woodsman, and farmers who have seen their livelihood destroyed by unrealistic laws and regulations. It is now time for members of the clergy to join too, or at least it is time for me to join, for I have spent too much time visiting prisoners to think for even one microsecond that I want to join them.
Wednesday, August 25, 2010 Note, Obama has signed this hate crimes bill into law.
Guys, in closing I want to remind you of two things, first, I am only human, I have emotions like everyone else and at times those emotions, like every one else's emotions, cloud by thinking, speech, writing and focus. But, what is even more important is the second closing point, and that is this: Your salvation is your responsibility, not mine. Your salvation is dependant upon you having a personal relationship with Christ, I cannot get you into heaven, I would not go up on a cross for you and even if I did, it would be worth less than dung. You have to secure your own eternity, for you will one day die, you will then be judged, and you will spend eternity in one of two places, heaven with the Lord and me or the pits of eternal pain and suffering in the absolute darkness of the lake of fire. Guys there aint no place called limbo and there aint no purgatory!!!
Lord please forgive me and bless those Pastors who love me enough to get me back on the straight and narrow and Lord will You please help al those who read this thought to understand that one day each will die, and that where each spends eternity is determined by what each does before they die. Amen.
