Tuesday, August 31, 2010 Put your trust in Jesus, all else is nothing but vanity Mark 10:17-25

They are all gone, all gone. ChristianPatriot.com has been online now for over ten years. Needless to say that during that ten plus years I received numerous e-mails and as a result had built up quite a mailing list. But, as of last Saturday morning, they were all gone, even after using a state of the art, from India, program that salvages from your hard drive after it crashes, I was unable to salvage even one email or address. It took me all day Saturday to recover my computer, but the most damage was done to my outlook express email boxes.

Let me start from the beginning. Last week I had asked some Pastors to comment on two pages that I had written, I asked the to avoid commenting on the politics and only to comment on the Theology and Scripture. And to please show me where, Scripturally, I had gone wrong if that is what they thought. Well, of the answers, one was really off the wall, I had to wonder if the man had even read my email or the two thoughts, so, while I knew I should have deleted it and moved on, I instead opened a new folder, one I called the "Idiot" folder and moved this pastors email into it.

Well, we often get a link from someone we trust, a link to her picture page so that we can see pictures of her and her family. Without thinking I opened that page, this time it was not to pictures but some drug company selling sex drugs and zap before I could reach over and turn of the internet connect, my computer was infected. That was on Friday, Saturday as I worked to recover it and clean it up, I ran a program, a program I had used in the past, this time it did what it was supposed to do but overwrote all of the Outlook Express folders and boxes, all of them. Nothing left for ChristianPatriot.com address, nothing left for MaineTV.net addresses, nothing left for Christian-movies-in-maine.com addresses, no e-mails, no addresses, nothing.

And when He, Jesus, was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, "Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but One, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

And he answered and said unto Him, "Master, all these have I observed from my youth."

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto His disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered saying unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Mark 10:17-25 ACP/KJV)

Guys, I am facing another dilemma, another choice. What am I going to do to make a living? Am I to continue the way I am or am I to put my full 100% faith and trust in Jesus? Before you answer that question ponder it for a while, think about it.

Lord Jesus, help me, please. Amen.
