Why Isaiah? Friday August 8th, 2003

Have you ever wondered why the author of the Holy Bible, God, included certain things in the only book He has ever allowed mankind to publish in His name? Have you ever wondered why God, in a book as short as the Holy Word of God, the Holy Book of the Scriptures, the Bible, included sixty six chapters of Isaiah?

Do you think that perhaps God put certain things in His Book just to fill up space? That He had a little extra room so He, not wanting His Book to be of pocket book size, included a few extraneous things? Throwing in a Prophet here and an Apostle there and then Solomon's Song of Solomon just to fill up empty space? If you find yourself shaking your head up and down in agreement with this, you need to leave ChristianPatriot.com and go to: Episcopalian or here: UCC .

But, if you know that the reason God included what He did in His Book, the Holy Bible, that it is for us to read and study. A Book to guide our lives with, then I welcome you and praise God for His love of you. Let us now look at a chapter of Isaiah that should warm the very cockles of the hearts of all who have an infirmity, have a loved one with an infirmity or know someone with an infirmity.

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing:

the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing:

In the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isaiah 35)

Isaiah's prophecy speaks of a time after the rapture of the saints, a time after the seven years known as tribulation. Isaiah is talking of a time when all who are Saved, all whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be healed and live free of infirmities, pain, and suffering. A time when there will be no blindness, no missing limbs, broken limbs, deformed bodies, deformed minds or spirits. A time when the roads will be soft and easy to travel, a time when there will be no dishonesty, no corruption, no lying, stealing or adultery.

No, God did not write His Book for us to second guess. He didn't write it so that only the scholar could understand it. He wrote it for us to take literally, for us to learn from, for us to know what is to come and how we will spend eternity. He wrote it as a personal letter to each and every one of us.

Just as God is serious when He tells us, through His prophet Isaiah, of a time to come, a time of no suffering a time of paradise, so is He serious when He says: Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3) And For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

I can never understand why it is so hard for so many to understand that God said exactly what He meant to say in His Book, the Holy Bible and meant exactly what He said. Nor can I even begin to fathom how some can claim that God didn't rally mean what he said in His book and they seem to claim that they know what God really meant to say in His Book, the Holy Bible. They imply that God isn't smart enough to say what He means in His Book, but that they are so much smarter than God that they can edit His words, proof read for Him and then tell us, the commoners of the world, what God really meant to say.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with and bless you this day, may He bless you with a hunger to seek Him and to study His Book, the Holy Bible. Amen.

Lord God Creator of all things, we give Thee thanks for giving us the second chance we do not deserve. We thank Thee Lord for our brave troops who are at this very instant freeing and liberating people through out the kingdom of satan. Lord we beseech Thee that Thou would send to our men a Paul, to preach Your word to them while they go to free those held captive by the forces of evil. Touch the Presidents heart Lord, lead him in a direction to send evangelist to our troops, give him the strength Lord to serve You, to use his office, that You have entrusted him with, as Commander in Chief to authorize and send solid evangelical Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian preachers to bring the Word of God to our troops, giving them both reason to fight and the Lord's plan of salvation. And put the end of abortion at the top of his agenda.
Lord Jesus, it is in Thy Sacred and Holy Name I pray, Amen.

red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.

God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
