But, do not tempt the Lord your God! Monday August11th, 2003

I used to think that for one to question his salvation meant that he was so humble that it was proof of salvation, now I know I was wrong. To be unsure as to whether or not you are saved is a pretty good sign that you're not. For one to be Saved and not see any signs in their life indicating salvation is practically impossible. Also, for one to be Saved and not doing the work of the Lord is a sign of being unsaved as well.

What is salvation? Salvation is the using of your free will to go to the Lord Jesus in prayer telling Him that you use your free will to become His bond servant. Not His buddy, not His friend, not His peer, but His bond servant, His slave. After one has done that, done it in all honesty, and done the other things required by God's word to be Saved, that person will know he or she is Saved. Know that he or she is a Born Again washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. They will know it by prayers answered and their desire to do the Lord's work.

Now, just what is the Lord's work? What is it that He wants and commands us, His bond servants to do?

And Jesus said unto His disciples, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15&16)

So, if you are truly Saved , you will know it by your desire to obey your Master, the Lord Jesus, the Christ. You will want to do what He commands you to do by doing your share to spread the good news of the one and only method of salvation, salvation through what the Lord did on the cross and the necessity of becoming a Born Again washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. You will have no fear for you will trust in the Lord, you will trust that as His, He will protect you till He decides it is time for you to join Him in His paradise.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17&18)

They, the minions of the evil one, may try to hurt you, they may even try to kill you, but, the Lord tells us that not only will these things not work, you will be able to heal the sick. Look at what happened to Paul when he accidentally picked up a deadly poisonous snake and it not only bit him, but hung on by fastening itself to him.

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, "No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live."

And Paul shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit the natives of the island looked when Paul's hand should have swollen, or he should have fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to Paul, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. (Acts 28:3-8)

When Jesus said: "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;" He was not saying that you, as a Born Again Christian, can go out pick up snakes and antagonize them so that they will bite you, He is saying that if you are doing the Lord's work and you get bit by a snake or drink something poisonous, He will intercede and protect you, not allowing that snake or poison to harm you. The Lord Jesus will not allow satan to decide the time and method of your death, He will protect you and keep you working till He decides it is time for you to join Him. We know that because the Lord said so back in Luke when satan tried to tempt the Lord:

And satan brought The Lord Jesus to Jerusalem, and set The Lord on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto Him, "If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, God shall give His angels charge over Thee, to keep Thee: And in their hands they shall bear Thee up, lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone."

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God! (Luke 4:9-12)

When you are doing the work of the Lord, that is spreading His word, that is going out into the world and preaching by your voice, your printed word, or even your *actions (for a biblical definition of actions, see the note at the end of the thought), the gospel of the Lord, He will protect you from satan, his minions, his ilk, and those who serve satan knowingly and unknowingly. It does not mean you can go out, grab a snake and challenge the Lord to keep you safe while you wave it around, stick it in your mouth or put it around your neck. Nor can you go out and purposely drink poison or do anything else that would be a challenge to God.

Now, with that said, with the Scriptural knowledge that the Lord will protect you, what keeps you from living the life of a Christian? What keeps you from living the life of a Christian is that you are not a Christian. You are not a Born Again washed in the Blood of the Lamb Jesus, Christian. But, you can be. And you can be sure you are, by simply doing what the word of God tells you to do to be Saved.

First go to the Lord Jesus in prayer, confessing to Him that you know, believe and accept as fact that He is indeed the Son of God, the Messiah, the Christ. Continue on by telling Him that you know you are a sinner, that you are not worthy of salvation, that you are unworthy of Him, that you have made a complete mess of your life and that you want to use your free will, the free will that He has given you, to become His bond servant. That you give yourself and your life freely and completely to Him.

Then ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you for the things you have said, things you have done, thought and even dreamt, confess these sins to the Lord, asking His forgiveness. Ask Him to come into your life, take it over and guide you in His ways.

If you are serious when you go to Him, He is faithful to forgive you, He will also place a desire in your heart to read and study His word and to do His will, abide by His rules and follow His commandment to spread His holy word.

If you have no desire to follow the Lord, to obey His word, to spread His word, then you are not saved! If you continue to go to a church for show and not for edification, you are not saved. If you refuse to help spread the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ, you are unsaved.

And if you can show me Scripture suggesting that you can ignore the commandment to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" then I will discuss it with you. For the Word of God is clear, to be saved one must confess that Jesus is the Christ, the one and only Son of the Living God with their mouth.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED. (Romans 10:9-11)

And do not give me any of the leftist anti-Christ garbage about, "What about those who can't speak?, can't they be saved?" You worry about yourself, and let God deal with those who can not speak.

Jesus went up on the cross and shed His perfect and sinless blood so that all could be saved, not so that all are saved. Stop looking for loop holes, there aren't any. There is only one way to salvation and there ain't no purgatory!

May the Lord Jesus, the Christ, give each of you this day a hunger for His word. May He not only give you a hunger for His word, may He also help you to understand it, so that each of you can make your decision to serve either Him or satan intelligently, not end up as satan's by error, hearsay, or ignorance. For the default is not everlasting glory with the Lord Jesus, it is everlasting damnation with satan.

Lord, take the hardness from their hearts, the scales from their eyes and the wax out of their ears. Put someone in their paths that they will listen to. And Lord I thank you for the time you have given us and this country to repent.

Lord hear my prayer I beseech Thee, Amen.

*Actions: Are all called to preach? No! But all Christians are called to do their share so that those who are called to preach can preach: let me use some verses of Scripture to demonstrate the point.

And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, He saw Peter's wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

When the even was come, they brought unto Jesus many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick: (Matthew 8:14-16)

Could the Lord have healed all the sick, chased out all the devils and done the other miraculous things if He had to also take time to gather His food, cook His meals, wash His cloths etc? Of course not, so here, Peter's mother-in-law, who was not called to evangelize by her preaching, was instead doing her share by 'ministering unto the Lord's needs.'

And it wasn't just Peter's mother-in-law, for look here:

And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against Him, saw that He so cried out, and gave up the ghost, the centurion said, "Truly this Man was the Son of God."

There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; (Who also, when Jesus was in Galilee, followed Him, and ministered unto Him;) and many other women which came up with Him unto Jerusalem. (Mark 15:37-41)

This supporting through ministering to, was not just limited to those who ministered unto the Lord, nor to women only, but is also extended to those who help all who evangelize as demonstrated here where we find two men helping and supporting the evangelist, the Apostle Paul:

After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season. (Acts 19:21&22)

By the actions of those who ministered unto the Lord and Paul we see that not all who are Saved will evangelize by the voice or by the printed word, but, those who support those who evangelize must be doing it with a pure and serious heart and desire to do the Lord's work, to see the Gospel of Christ preached to every living creature on earth.

Lord God Creator of all things, we give Thee thanks for giving us the second chance we do not deserve. We thank Thee Lord for our brave troops who are at this very instant freeing and liberating people through out the kingdom of satan. Lord we beseech Thee that Thou would send to our men a Paul, to preach Your word to them while they go to free those held captive by the forces of evil. Touch the Presidents heart Lord, lead him in a direction to send evangelist to our troops, give him the strength Lord to serve You, to use his office, that You have entrusted him with, as Commander in Chief to authorize and send solid evangelical Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian preachers to bring the Word of God to our troops, giving them both reason to fight and the Lord's plan of salvation. And put the end of abortion at the top of his agenda.
Lord Jesus, it is in Thy Sacred and Holy Name I pray, Amen.

red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.

God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
