Ah ha, now I see.

Wednesday August 24th, 2005

Over the years, there have been certain parts of the Bible, the true and absolute word of God that I have struggled with. One such part is found when Jesus is talking in Luke chapter sixteen. Last Sunday Pastor jim Marstaller did his sermon, in part, on Luke 16:1-12. As he spoke, I said within myself, "Ah ha, now I see." So, I asked Jim if he would be so kind as to do that part of the sermon as a thought for you guys. He of course said 'yes' and here it is, I do pray it is as eye opening for you as it was for me.

But first, would you take a moment to ask the Lord to be with my sister, Joan Semples, as she goes for a bone marrow test. We each have sisters in the Lord that are more like we, well, I'm not going to get mushy, just pray will ya?

And now, a special thought to ACP by Rev. Jim Marstaller , the Pastor of Cornerstone Gospel Church in Naples, Maine.

Lord, are we suppose to steal?

1 And He said also unto His disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him, 'How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.'

3 Then the steward said within himself, 'What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. 4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.'

5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, 'How much owest thou unto my lord?' 6 And he said, 'a hundred measures of oil.' And he said unto him, 'Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.' 7 Then said he to another, 'And how much owest thou?' And he said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' And he said unto him, 'Take thy bill, and write fourscore.'

8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of Light.

9 And I say unto you; Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. 10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? (Luke 16:1-12 ACP/KJV)

Concerning parables - the Lord is emphasizing one main point. The point in this parable is that the man was very wise in planning ahead - for his comfort and way in this world.

We, too, are to plan ahead - for eternity. Will your rewards be few - based on works that are as 'wood, hay, and stubble' and thus be burned up; or will they endure the test as 'gold, silver, and precious stones'? "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Regarding verse 12 - please keep in mind that we are stewards. All that we have in this world is not our own. It all belongs to God.

If you are faithful in few things (things in this world) you will be entrusted (and faithful) with many things. If you do well with what belongs to God here on this earth you will be given your own 'possessions' (including a mansion) in heaven.

Have a retirement plan that will last. Invest your time, talents, gifts, abilities, resources, energies, and all that you have and are for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for the furtherance of His Kingdom, and for your life in eternity.

Shalom Pastor Jim Marstaller

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac, Cecily, Steve, and Rev. Jim Marstaller to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is Saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
