In the late 1800's the government of the United States did a survey, a land survey. What the survey was for is to see what percentage of land in the country could grow stuff, usable stuff like trees, food, cotton, etc. The results were an astonishing 98%, the government declared that this high percentage made the USA the most blessed of all nations on earth. In the same time frame a Frenchman came over and after studying the country and the people of the USA for years, declared that the USA was great because her people were great, he said this after observing the people in church, how devoted they were to God and how solid the church sermons and services of the day were.
Today, the 25th day of August in the year of our Lord 2004, we have huge sections of the US that couldn't even grow weeds without the need for deep wells or some system of bringing water and fertilizer to them. Many of our churches preach politically correct garbage and have put money ahead of Christ. How say ye do they put money first? Ask your Pastor why he hasn't preached that a vote for John Kerry, in the words of Larry Austin of Norway, Maine, one of the editorial writers of Christian-news-in-maine.com:
"Woe unto them that call evil good and good, evil: That put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter (Isaiah 5:20) For a Christian to vote for a pro-abortion candidate is for that Christian to do murder by proxy. The blood of a million innocent, defenseless children each year stains that Christian's hands just as red as it does the hands of the politician who favors abortion or the judge that upholds this murderous law. "
How is it that every church attending Christian in the country does not know that John Kerry has a 100% pro-abortion record?
How is it that every church attending Christian in the country does not know that John Kerry has a 100% pro-homosexual voting record?
How do they not know these things? They don't know it because their preachers are scared to death of the IRS and would rather ignore the horrors of abortion and homosexuality rather than take a chance that the IRS might hear that they preached that a vote for ultra left wing, Christ hating Kerry is a vote for abortion and the radical homosexual agenda.
In Monday's thought, I asked you why you would want to start a house church, well one of the best reasons is because the pastor of your church has not made you and the congregation aware of the voting record of John Kerry. Read this next paragraph carefully, for once you are aware of it, either you do something about it or you are just as guilty as your pastor.
If your pastor has not preached that candidate, for the office of President of the USA, John Kerry, is 100% pro-abortion and 100% pro-radical homosexual agenda, then your pastor is putting his and your churches 501©)3 exemption ahead of Christ! And if you don't do something about it, as we will see in today's Scripture, you are just as guilty as he, or God forbid, she is.
In Today's Scripture you will see, by comparing our land and our churches of 1890 with our land and our churches of 2004, that God is indeed judging us. And that if you are not His, you are satan's and if you are not doing anything to strengthen this country for Christ, you are weakening it for satan. In today's reading, substitute USA for Israel, and substitute the people of the USA, especially those who call themselves Christians, for Ephraim and Samaria.
Hosea Chapter Seven
1 ¶ When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria, for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. 2 And they consider not in their hearts, that I remember all their wickedness.
Now their own doings have beset them about; they are before My face. 3 They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. 4 They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
5 In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners. 6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire. 7 They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto Me.
8 ¶ Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. 9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. 10 And the pride of Israel (Prophets sent by God and th holy Scriptures that Israel was entrusted with keeping.) testifieth to his (The tribe of Ephraim) face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek Him for all this.
11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. 12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard (Warned by the Prophets and Scripture).
13 Woe unto them (Israel)! For they have fled from Me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against Me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have *spoken lies against Me. *Spoken lies against God is to deny Him by putting faith in something other than God, that equates to idolatry.
14 And they have not cried unto Me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against Me. 15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against Me.
16 They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. (Hosea 11 ACP/KJV)
So, what is a Christian to do? The first thing to do is understand that God is judging us, and that judgement is not only going to fall on the heads of the heathens in the land but upon those who profess to belong to the Lord God Creator of the Earth and the Universe, Christ Jesus. So, be prepared.
You need to be prepared to take care of your family. First their souls, so you need Bibles, but more important, you need to be knowledgeable of the Scriptures and know how to preach. And how are you to be both knowledgeable and able to preach? You practice now. You study God's word and you lead Bible study with your family every night. You might also give serious thought to going back to last Monday's thought and consider starting a house church if your pastor has not informed you about Kerry and other satan serving candidates.
Next, you need food and electric power, so six months of food, a generator and fuel for six months. Then you need to protect your family in the event that you live in one of the areas where God is gong to use the heathen hordes of muslims, so you'll need guns and ammo. Oh but you say, I have small children, I can't keep guns and ammo in my house. Horse Dung! Teach your kids about guns, then keep the guns and the ammo separate. A gun without ammo is nothing but a fancy, and I might add, expensive club. If you don't know anything about guns, find a former Marine or other infantryman in your church and ask him to teach you.
Get off the fence, understand two things, one, God is judging the USA! And two, if you are not His, you are satan's!
Lord Jesus, help us, give us a little more time, but help us to do what is right in Your sight, help us not to be like Israel in today's Scripture, help us to be as strong as Paul, as strong as James, as strong as John and Peter.
