Some things are impossible, some are near impossible

Luke 6:37 Keyword: Forgive

So, you don't want to take the easy way to eternal salvation, by giving your life to Christ and being a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, but, you want to go to heaven anyhow. Humm, can that be done? Well, actually, while I think it is impossible, I will tell you that there does seem to be a way, a God given loophole.

Let us look at Luke Chapter Six.

27 But I(Jesus) say unto you which hear:

Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luke 6:27-37 ACP/KJV

Now let's look at the alternative to being a Born Again, Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. For while verses 27-36 give us the context, verse 37 gives us what may be the alternative.

Verse 37a states that if we do not judge, we will not be judged. Now since you are already born, have already reached the age where you can read this page, unless you are absolutely certain that you have never judged any person, you can forget this maybe loophole.

Verse 37b says that if you never condemn you will not be condemned. To really see the impossibility of this one, we need to look at that word 'condemn'. Our English word 'condemn' is translated from the Greek word katadikazo, pronounced kat-ad-ik-ad'-zo. Katadikazo means to adjudge against, to pronounce guilty of anything regardless of how small or trivial it may seem, or simply to condemn someone as guilty in your jdugement.

So, if you are to use Luke 6:37b as your loop hole, you must be able to honestly look Christ in the face and tell Him, that you have never ever, since the day you were born, felt in your heart or said, even to yourself, that a person was guilty of anything? For if you have ever condemned anyone of anything, and are figuring on using 37b as a loop hope into heaven to avoid the requi9renment of having to be Born Again, you are on your way to the lake of fire.

Now let us look at verse 37c, forgive and you shall be forgiven. This too dates back to the instant you were born, if you are looking at it as a way to avoid the command given by the Lord in John 3:3. And while it certainly is possible to forgive, more easily than to avoid all judging or condemning, I would have to consider any who bet their salvation on having forgiving every slight or wrong since birth, a bit of a fool.

So, you see, Luke chapter six verse 37 is not a loophole after all. It is but one more thing, we as Born Again Christians, are to be open to the Holy Spirit leading us into, after we give our life to Christ and become Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians.

After we are Saved we should look forward to the time we will not condemn others, the time when, through the Grace of God, we will stop judging others, and the time when we will find it in our hearts to forgive others for their trespasses against us, as God has forgiven us.

Look, not judging is important, but almost impossible. Not condemning is also important, but I tend to doubt any of us will live long enough to attain a state where we can cease condemning the likes of those who corrupt our children, and drag our kids and grandkids into wars and perversions. Yet, we can with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit allow our hearts to be softened to the point where we can, after our initial fit of rage and anger, forgive those who have harmed us, our families, our nation, even our Lord.

Since forgiving is really the first step to not judging and/or condemning, let us look at what forgive means:

Our English word forgive comes from the Greek word apoluo, pronounced ap-ol-oo'-o it means to free fully, and literally, relieve, release, dismiss from your mind, to literally let die, pardon or divorce from your thoughts, feelings of anger or hurt. To dismiss, divorce, forgive, let go, loose, put or send away all feelings of hurt and/or anger, to fully release and set at liberty the one or ones that have offended you.

Can you do that? Not without the help of God you can't, but as I have found out over the past year or so, if you will seek the help of the Lord, if you will be patient, if you will open your heart to the leadings of the Holy Spirit, you can start to make serious movement in the direction of being able to forgive those who despitefully use you.

Until we are open to forgiving, we can not hope to stop judging and condemning. After a year I am still working on forgiving, then God willing I will try to be open to the Lord helping me to not judge or condemn. I never expect to live long enough to achieve either of those three lofty goals, but to learn to forgive, I will strive for, God willing, I will sometime, before the Lord calls me home, be at the point where I can actually let the Holy Spirit have the freedom with my heart to forgive those who I have already judged and condemned in my heart, is a goal I feel, that with the help and guidance of the Lord, I can reach.

Two of the many passages of Scripture The Holy Spirit has impressed upon my heart that have helped me reach this point are:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 ACP/KJV

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE; I WILL REPAY, saith the Lord. Therefore, as Christ has said, if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:17-21 ACP/KJV

With these two passages of Scripture I find myself understanding two very important things. In Psalm 27 I find that I need fear not anything for God is always with me. In Romans 12:19 I find that God, like an honest, diligent and protective Father and Older Brother, will avenge me, He will let His wrath fall upon those who have hurt me. For years I have pondered what I would do if our ever increasingly corrupt and anti-Christian government were to come for me, to frame me, to attack me, or to in some other way try to harm me or mine. Now my attitude is this; Those that harm me are of no concern to me, for those that harm me will have to face the Creator of all things. For it is He who has said to me "Bob, My dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for I have spoken that for those who harm you, VENGEANCE IS MINE; I WILL REPAY. Therefore Bob, as I have said to you through My Holy and absolute word, "if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Bob, be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Folks God's Holy Word, the Bible is a letter to you from God, take it personally for He wants you to take it that way, it is written to each and every believer individually for your edification, your understanding, your comfort and your guiding light. If you will but read it and take to heart what God has written to you, to also learn to forgive.

Guys, as Christ has said, He is the only way to God, it is only though being a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian that you will avoid eternity in the lake of fire, there is no other way.

Sometime in the not too distant future I want to talk to you men in the Militias, about Luke 20:25 and Matthew 24:24.

Lord, make my faith as that which I perceive the Samaritans to have had. Amen.

As you ponder today's Scripture, ponder also your own relationship with Christ. Are you a Samaritan or are you a Galilean?

Lord give us eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart attuned to Your word.

Men, let us strive to be men who follow Christ, and pray our wives will, as Peter's and Abraham's wives did, simply follow.
