Jesus said, "The time cometh..."

Oft times we hear preachers, including myself, tell you that the Lord could rapture His church at any time, that life is not indefinite, that one day you will die. And that because we know not when the Lord will rapture His church or when you are going to die, you should not hesitate, but seek the Lord immediately.

Why are we so concerned? What is it that drives us to fear for the salvation of so many? Why do we preach and preach and preach? Scripture, that's why, the warnings that Scripture holds causes preachers to fear for the souls of the lost and even for some who profess to be Saved.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27) You know what that means? It means that once you die, you stand before God for judgement, for His judgement of where you will spend eternity, heaven with Him or the lake of fire with satan, his minions and his ilk.

Death comes like a thief in the night, you don't know when, you don't know how, but you know you are going to die. Rapture is the same, we don't know when, we don't know if it will be tonight, tomorrow, the next day or ten thousand or more years from now, but this we do know, it will happen. And we do know something else, while the Lord has told us that no one but God Himself knows the exact hour and day, He has told us what to look for.

And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, Jesus said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

And they asked Him, saying, "Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?"

And He said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ;' and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said He unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. (Luke 21:5-19)

Notice the things which will happen before the rapture? But, notice most of all what the Lord says, when He says But: But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.

Before we continue with that But in Luke, I want you to see something in John 16:2: They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Now that verse in John 16, was addressed to the Apostles, read it carefully, "They shall put you out of the synagogues" If you take the time to read the book of Acts, you'll see that the Apostles and the Christian community were not only put out of the synagogues, they were hunted down and killed. Let us continue with John 16:2. "the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." Notice what it says? The time comes that whoever kills you will think that he does God service. It does not say whoever kills you will think he is doing God's service, it says whoever kills you will think he is doing God a service. There is a huge difference. Whoever killed one of the Apostles or one of the Christians, did not think He was doing what God had ordered him to do, he thought he was doing God a good service.

All of what the Lord said would happen to the fledgling Christian community and the Apostles, happened.

Now, let's go back to Luke: "But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake." ... "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake."

Throughout most of the world, that which was spoken by the Lord, that which is coming before rapture, the pestilences, the betrayal of Christians, the killing of Christians is happening. Only here in the USA are Christians really safe. But, for how long? Have you taken the time to read the Patriot Act? What do you think would happen to Christians if the Patriot Act were renewed in three years and a Janet Reno was Attorney General instead of John Ashcroft?

But, while the Lord did not say that these things would happen everywhere on earth except the USA, He didn't say they would happen all over the entire earth either. So, there does not seem to be even one thing left of prophecy, before the Lord could rapture His Bride, the Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, the dead in Christ first and then those who are alive.

Now you know why I and others are so concerned with society and its lack of belief in the Lord. Why I pray any of you who are unsaved will stop procrastinating and turn to the Lord today.

Jesus, if they call, please hear them and guide them to Thee. Amen.

red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.

God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
