Is the date of Rapture in our hands?

Wednesday September 6th, 2006

Daniel 9 tells exactly when the Messiah was to come as a Lamb. There are three times the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus is prophesied to be on or near earth. All three are found in Daniel chapter nine. We are told literally to the day when He will be born in Bethlehem and when He will be crucified. Daniel nine also tells us that Christ will return as King of kings seven years after He calls forth His bride, the Rapture of the Church. Let's look:

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. 23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision."

24 "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times."

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself:

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he (anti-Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:20-27 ACP/KJV)

Ok, let's break it down a bit. Verse 24 means that from the time of the capture of Jerusalem in chapter one verses 1&2: In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. (Daniel 1:1&2 ACP/KJV)

From that time till the end of the captivity, the time when Jerusalem would start to be rebuilt, would be seventy years, just as it was foretold in Jeremiah chapter 25; 7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto Me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

8 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard My words, 9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

10 Moreover I will take from them(the Jews) the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle. 11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations. 13 And I will bring upon that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations. 14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands. (Jeremiah 25:7-14 ACP/KJV)

So, what we have so far is that from the date that Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon takes Jerusalem it will be seventy years until the rebuilding that takes place in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah.

Now back to the book of Daniel;25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself:

Now, that counting is beyond me, but there are those who have studied this and, have literally pinpointed the date of the birth of Christ by using it. And pinned the date of the Lord's crucifixion on April 3rd, 33AD. That is accurate my brothers. So, using the dates set forth in Daniel, the birth of the Lord and His being our perfect sacrifice is literally pinpointed. But not so the date He will rapture His church. Yet, from the time of Rapture we know it is seven years till His return as the King of kings, the Lion of Judah, conquering evil and tossing the anti-Christ and the false prophet into the lake of fire. We see the seven years in Daniel as well at the end of verse 26. We see the Messiah being cut off, that is the crucifixion of Jesus, then an indeterminate time and then the seven years: 27 And he (anti-Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

So, prophecy teaches us the exact time the Lord is born, the exact time He is crucified and that from the time He raptures His bride there is seven years till He returns and His vengeance is leveled against those who have abused all who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians.

But, what about the time between the crucifixion and the rapture? Let's start by looking at how God Himself tells us of when it will occur:

Matthew Chapter Twenty-four

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ'; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Daniel 9:21-27), stand(ing) in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, 'Lo, here is Christ', 'or there'; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect (Saved).

25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, 'Behold, He is in the desert'; go not forth: 'behold, He is in the secret chambers'; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles (vultures) be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:1-39 ACP/KJV)

Notice verse 36, But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only. That is key. Of that day, the exact hour, no man knows except God Himself.

There is no prophecy telling exactly when Christ returns to rapture His church in Daniel nine. But there is a description of what it will be like at that time in Matthew 24 and in second Timothy chapter three. For when Jesus looks down and says, "Enough!" and calls His bride that will start the seven years of hell on earth called the great tribulation. But how is it that we can determine when rapture will be? And if we do, how is it that Jesus says: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only."?

Well to start with, God knows the future, He knows the past, the present and the. He and He alone knows the future. So as a result He knows when we, mankind, will bring about the times so bad that Jesus looks down and calls forth His bride.

Now, I know many of you think, and I would not disagree, that the times we are living in have to be as bad as the times of Noah. But evidently they are not. And, believe it or not, the times may be getting better. I want you to think about life just here in the USA. Right now we are just about split between being a totally immoral country and a country with some moral fiber. We look at the Democrats and the RINOs and have to shake our heads, but when we look at the more conservative independents in the country and a remnant of social conservative Republicans, we see that the nation is split just about 50/50. I have purposely done this based on politics because if I were to do it based upon the Saved verses unsaved, the numbers would be more likely 10% or less to 90% or more unsaved.

Attrition 101. Those who are of the liberal persuasion kill their babies, they abort rather than deliver a live baby. Yet those of the more conservative deliver babies alive and deplore abortion. As time goes on the liberals will lose because they are killing off their future voters. They think, through their control of the schools, that they can steal conservative children away from their parents, but it isn't working, they are losing votes. I and those of you in the neighborhood of my age group may not live to see it, but the truth be known, the pendulum is already swinging. But each time the pendulum swings it swings further from the conservatism of the last swing. We are slowly but surely moving more and more towards liberalism and therefore towards the end of the age and the rapture of the church.

Unfortunately there is a one world religion in the wings that is having more kids than both the liberals and conservatives put together, the muslims. I, as most of you know, have felt for some time that the religion of satan will be Islam not Roman Catholicism. That is not to say that I consider Roman Catholicism a Christian religion, a church of Laodicia religion maybe, but certainly not a Christian religion, not part of the church of Philadelphia that is for sure.

By doing a diligent google search you will, in time, find a picture and a story about the last Pope kissing the Koran. The Bible refers to the leader of the one world religion, the false prophet, as a harlot who sits on seven mountains, it is not just Rome that sits on seven hills, it is Amman Jordan too. Amman Jordan is the world's oldest city and was founded on seven hills, while it now sits on fourteen or more. It was from Amman, Jordan that the muslim king at the time attacked and conquered Jerusalem, totally destroying the old city Jewish Quarters in May of 1948.

Revelation Chapter Seventeen

1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me,

"Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication."

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.

And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me,

"Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, (those)whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful."

15 And he saith unto me, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth." (Revelation 17:1-18 ACP/KJV)

We, the true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian community, the church of Philadelphia, can hold off the rapture, but only by getting off our duffs and seriously start evangelizing. For while we sit around and do nothing, satan has his forces of evil procreating and converting (often at the end of a sword or gun) at an amazing rate.

We as Christians are instructed to evangelize, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Or at the very least financially support those who do.

Are you doing either? If you are not in the trenches, out on the streets, evangelizing, are you at least making sure that he who is, is not starving? Are you buying him supplies? Are you making sure he has shelter and clothing, medical care and fuel?

Oh Lord God of Creation, Creator of the Universe how torn I am on this. Lord on the one hand I want more time to see more people turn from their evil ways and turn their lives over to You. On the other hand I am tired and want to be with You, but I don't want to leave my wife, brothers and sisters behind, so I want to see rapture in my time.

So Lord, while I want to see Rapture held off for a while I also want to see it today. How I long to see and share the glory and joy of seeing Your face with my wife and brothers and sisters, but how I long also to see those I love turn to You with their whole heart and soul.

Help me Lord to get off my duff, put aside my cry for You to come now, and get out there and do Your work.

Thank You Jesus, amen.

Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.

Never ever forget this: There aint no purgatory!

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
