Before you complain to God and ask for more, think about this.

Over the last few days, I have done a bit of complaining to God. I have been upset because I and my wife are in the throes of trying to find a church to attend. All we want is a church that preaches Christ and what God's word says, not what God, in the mind of the pastor, really meant to say. We want a church that understands that God meant it when it prohibited women from being preachers and being in positions of authority over men.

Then last night, as Cec and I were eating our ice creams, looking out over Norway Lake at the sunset, it occurred to me what a spoiled little brat I must sound like to God. Here I was complaining about having to find a church while there are so many throughout the world that if they attended a real Christ centered, Christ preaching, Christ fearing church, they would be tortured or put to death.

So, today we are going to look at some of the things we should thank God for instead of complaining and complaining and complaining all the time.

How about sunrises and sunsets? How about the beauty He has surrounded us with in trees, flowers, birds and other people? And how could we even see these things if it were not for the sense of sight that He has given us? Should we not thank God for giving us eyes? Hands, feet, a mouth and a tongue to taste and eat the delicious things, like ice cream, that He has given us with?

How about the other free things, things like air, water, food, clothing, shelter, gravity, the freedom we still have here in the USA. Oh sure, we have a lot of things we can complain to God about, but think of the things we have to give Him thanks for.

John Chapter Three

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, "Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, "How can these things be?" 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that Light (Jesus) is come into the world, and men loved darkness (satan) rather than Light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22 After these things came Jesus and His disciples into the land of Judaea; and there He tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, "Rabbi, He (Jesus) that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to Him."

27 John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before Him.' 29 He that hath the bride (church) is the Bridegroom (the Christ, Jesus): but the friend of the Bridegroom, which standeth and heareth Him, rejoiceth greatly because of the Bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: He that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what He hath seen and heard, that He testifieth; and no man receiveth His testimony."

33 "He that hath received His testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:1-36 ACP/KJV)

Yes, we have a lot to thank God for. Most of all, we need to thank God for so loving us that He came down from heaven as a baby in the womb, to grow up as a perfect sinless man and offer Himself up for our sins, so that we could have a way to everlasting salvation and eternal life in paradise. To not be bond servants to the Lord God of Creation, but to be adopted sons and daughters of God, joint heirs with the Lord God Jesus, of heaven and all things.

Instead of complaining, I need to learn to thank God. To thank God, and to pray to God, asking Him for His guidance and salvation of those pastors that insist on preaching what they know God meant to say instead of what God did say. Pray for all those attending churches where women blaspheme God by acting like men, pray for all those poor lost souls that are being lead astray by politically correct and Scripturally incorrect churches, for a church can not be both.

Thank God that He has shown us, that churches pastored by women are not Christian churches, but social clubs seeking to justify sin. Thank God that He has shown us that He is dead serious when He condemns homosexuality by men or women.

Yes, if you are a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, than you, like me, have a lot more to thank God for, than we do to complain to God about. So what if we have to hunt for a church, so what if we cry ourselves to sleep at night because of the Christ haters that surround us. So what if we turn on the TV and see the morals of the world preached.

We have a better home and a better life to look forward to, for we are but visitors to this current earth, one day, we will leave this earth, this earth that is the closest we will ever come to hell and is the heaven of those who are unsaved. We will leave and go to our heavenly home, because of what the Lord God of Creation did for us in His love for us.

Lord, help us to focus on You and all You have given us. Lord, help us to, not think about this world as our home, but only as a flea bag hotel on the trip to paradise. Lord, help us, especially me, stop belly aching and start praising You day and night. But, Lord I would still like to find a solid Christ centered church and church family to attend and be part of, but, Your will not mine Lord, but Your will be done. For it is in Your name, Lord Jesus, that I pray this to the Father, through the Holy Spirit, amen.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac and Cecily to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

I would also like to thank the Lord that Dorothy has a large print Bible, while I am not to happy about the way she got it, I am pleased that she has it. And now my prayer is that she will read it and the Lord will let the Holy Spirit guide her to understanding it. Amen.

The Lord be with you all and please keep me in your prayers. I have some very important decision to make over the next few weeks or months, I need your prayers. Amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for the daughters of Will, for Will, and his mom. Pray that the Lord will put the girls back under the control of Steve.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
