As we study Genesis eight and nine this weekend, we are going to see that with man, even the best, the most chosen, have a tendency to start right off sinning. God chose Noah, of all the people on earth. It was only Noah, his wife, their three sons and daughter-in-laws that God chose to save. It was with Noah, his sons, and Noah's daughter-in-laws that God chose to repopulate the earth. Do you realize that every last one of us, every man, woman, and child on earth, whether white, black, yellow, red, whatever, are all kin? We are all descendants of Noah and we can all call Noah great, great, grandpa 150 times removed.
Genesis Chapter Eight
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged; 2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; 3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: 7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. 8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; 9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; 11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. 12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried. 15 And God spake unto Noah, saying, 16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. 17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him: 19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in His heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:1-22 ACP/KJV)
Genesis Chapter Nine
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made He man. Notice between verse 1&6 we have God telling Noah and his sons to be fruitful and repopulate the earth, and we have God telling Noah that from this time on animals, fish, snakes, bugs, everything, will be afraid of man. Man can now eat everything. He is no longer a vegetarian. But we also have one of God's old rules reestablished, man is not to kill man. And the punishment for murder is execution, death.
7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 And I, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. God established the first rainbow. He created it as reminder to Him and to us that he will never again destroy the earth with a global flood. Small localized floods, are ok, but God Himself has said He will not again cause a global flood. That was 4,758 years ago. About 30 years ago, satan and his sodomite servers stole God's sign and made it their symbol. today the rainbow is not a sign of God, but a sign of the despicable behavior of homosexuality.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. Imagine what it must have been like to be one of those three boys. They, their parents and their wives were the only people left on earth - talk about special. But...
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25 And he said, "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren." Had Noah not gotten drunk, maybe Ham would never have spied on his fathers nakedness. But, there they are the special ones chosen by God. The ground is barely dry and we have sin on the scene.
26 And he said, "Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. 29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died. (Genesis 9:1-29 ACP/KJV)
I always found it strange that verse 28 said: "And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years." And not: And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years and had sons and daughters.
We, as humans, have a terrible time staying in line. We have a tendency to not only ignore God's rules, precepts and ordinances, but we go even further and ignore Him. Perhaps Cain, Ham, and others had an excuse because they did not have the written word of God, the Holy Bible, but what do we have for an excuse today? Yet back then they did not have pornography, thong bikinis, and boys wearing blue spiked hair and earrings in their noses. Before God caused the world to be destroyed by the flood, He said: "that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Today He must be thinking: the wickedness of man is great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart is evil continually.
How has it come about that we have wandered so far from God? Can we blame it on the evil evolutionists that deny the very presence of God? Can we blame it on the evil liberal preachers, politicians, and media that insist that God is a fable and figment of our imaginations? Can we blame it on the communists within the body politic? Or must we blame it on ourselves?
There is nowhere in the Bible that better illustrates the power of God more than Genesis 1-11. Yet those eleven chapters are amongst the most unused chapters of the Bible by most churches. How many want to do nothing but preach "Salvation thru Grace." Yet how can one understand salvation if one does not understand what sin is and how sin got here in the first place? How can one fear God if one does not understand the power of God?
How can one understand why Jesus went up on the cross to bear our sins, to be our perfect sacrifice, if one does not understand what Adam did?
We even have a picture of what eternity is and what it is like in Genesis 1-11. Why is it so ignored? Why do so many refuse to read it, learn from it, take it literally and obey it? I think the answer to that is simple. We are afraid. We are afraid of being called bumpkins, fools, stupid, and other such names, for the intellectual knows that God created nothing, that we all came from nothing, nothing that somehow became something. Then that nothing that became something all came together in a spot smaller than the a period on this page, and that period was spinning and spinning and spinning like millions and millions of miles an hour, and suddenly BANG, it exploded and then over millions and millions of years a rock developed and some acid rain fell on it and out of that mess of rock and acid rain came a lizard and from that lizard came a monkey and from that monkey came man and from that rock came a dinosaur and from a dinosaur came a gold finch. And they call us nuts? And you are afraid of them calling us nuts?
Let's stop worrying about where we went wrong, how things got to be so bad, and how we can get a President that will fix it all. Get up, grab your Bible, and go witness to someone.
And remember, God has told us how to fix this mess, all we have to do is obey Him. "If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Jesus. So who are His people called by His name? Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians that's who. Are you one? Are you sure? Do you think He knows you are a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian?
He would if your fruits showed you to be. You see, while Jesus was primarily telling folks how they could tell a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian preacher, He was also telling all Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians how they would recognize other Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. How are your fruits? Got any fruits? Are you at least a participating member of a solid evangelical fundamental Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian church? Do you tithe? Does your pastor know you by your first name?
Lots of questions, how are your answers? Remember it is not me you have to worry about. It is He whom so many think they can deceive, lie to, fake out, and ignore. Why is it that so many have a sinking feeling when they see blue lights behind them when they are driving, yet do not fear God?
Guys, we need to get back to basics. You've got one or two more days in Genesis 1-11. Make the most of it, get back to basics, get back to Jesus.
The Lord bless and be with you all, may He help you to find the part you have in this battle against evil. Amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
