Today's Christian thought: October 1st, 2003
As I looked through the internet news this morning, I saw reason to hope and reason to cry. I see that the conference committee of the House and Senate are about to convene to resolve the differences in their partial birth abortion bans. They, it appears will remove the pro-abortion language in the Senate version and adopt the language used by the much more pro-life House version. We are assured that this should be done within the next couple of weeks and be on the Presidents desk for signature before the end of this month. That certainly is good news and worthy of hope and Praise to God.
Then there is the, "If it were not so dumb, it would be funny", news. This morning, Front Page Magazine has done a report on what some very famous democrats had to say about Saddam Hussein and Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. The same weapons of mass destruction that they now claim never existed. Here is a sampling:
John Kerry, the french looking and acting US Senator from Massachusetts said in October of 2002, one year ago this month: "I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." Since the above is really an example of deep thinking, I tend to doubt that Ketchup Boy came up with it on his own, he probably was coached by the other US Senator from Massachusetts, the driving instructor in waiting, US Senator Teddy Kennedy who on September 27th, 2002 uttered this pearl of wisdom: "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
And then again we have some bad news in the news as well. Over the next 348 days, those who hate our Republic and our freedoms will be working to desperately convince the leftist, the liberals and the so called moderates to, not only renew the ban on certain weapons that they refer to in their ignorance as assault weapons, but to make the ban even more restrictive and unconstitutional.
As I read, I realized how badly our nation and those public servants we have entrusted with her operation need our prayers. And How right Paul was 1,940 years ago when he penned a note to his beloved protegee Timothy regarding praying and the roll of women.
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. (First Timothy Chapter Two)
Yes, we should be praying for those in power and we should never ever vote for a woman.
Hillary Clinton would have been better off staying home and making cookies, so would Chelsea and the nation. Can anyone point to one thing done, that was good in the eyes of God or the Constitution, that was originated by the Senators from Maine or California? Would the slaughter of the baby in the womb still be legal or would men and women still get preferences for jobs, education and government tax dollar handouts based upon skin color if were not for the two trollops who sit as US Supreme Court Justices?
Gentlemen, abide by the words of God, the words He dictated to the writers of the Bible, abide by them and pray for our public servants and raise your daughters to be women of God, not God hating satan following sluts and politicians.
The Lord our God, Messiah Yeshua forgive us and lead us to revival, may He give our President and his administration the courage to do what is right and not what is expedient. May He give us the courage to do what is right in His site and not what is expedient. And may He do to those who embrace the slaughter of the baby in the womb what they would do to the baby in the womb. Amen.
The City of Portland, Maine housed two Sherrys. One was Sherry Huber the infamous and much honored abortionist, the other, little 16 year old Sherry Mason who is carrying twin girls in a very difficult pregnancy. While Sherry Huber killed little ones in the womb, Sherry Mason is fighting to give life to her twin little girls. The city thinks of the Sherry Huber the abortionist as a heroine, I know that little Sherry Mason is a heroine.
Join with me in praying for Sherry and her little twins, pray for their salvation and their health. Pray that the Lord will give Sherry Mason the strength to hang in there and that He will open her eyes to the light of His truth. Amen.
Lord I would also ask You to be with my friend Mac, and for the salvation of Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh. Amen.
All Scripture is quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
