Death Watch

As you read this today, there is a serious death watch going on throughout the world. Throughout the world, men and women of the Roman Catholic religion wait, watch and listen as their pope goes through his death throes and approaches the time of truth. For as this pope, who has served as supreme leader of the Roman Catholic religion for twenty five years, now approaches the moment of his last breath he also approaches the moment in which he will stand before the Lord God of Creation and answer the question "Why should I let you into My heaven?"

This is a time when we, as Born Again Christians, should be praying diligently that the Lord would use this time to remove the scales form the eyes of the Roman Catholics, that He would use this time to cleanse the wax from their ears and soften their hearts to the truth of His word.

Over the last 1700 years, the Roman Catholic religion has gone from being the keeper of the Scriptures to one where traditions and ceremony have blinded the faithful and made them border on the idolatry of pope worship. This pope worship has been encouraged, not turned aside by this pope who now sits and trembles at the thought of what is to come, unless of course he believes his own rhetoric, thinking he is equal to Christ.

Today, as Roman Catholics watch and wait for the death of their leader, I would like you to take a moment to see what Scripture has to say about putting traditions of religion ahead of the words of the Messiah.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1:13-19)

If you who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians do not pray for the salvation of those enslaved within the cult of Roman Catholicism, who will? And who will they pray to? Does not the Lord Himself tell us to evangelize? "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15&16)

How important is it for you to reach out through prayer and personal contact to those within the grasp of Roman Catholicism? Look at what the Lord says about traditions of men.

Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, "Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread." But Jesus answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (Matthew 15:1-3)

Does Roman Catholicism transgress the laws of God? Roman Catholics are taught to pray to statues of dead men declared saints by this and previous popes. They go and kneel before a man they call a priest and say "Bless me father for I have sinned." They then confess their sins to him and ask that priest to forgive their sins, believing that the man they call father can somehow go to God for them and get their sins erased. But Scripture teaches that; There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus; (1Timothy 2:5)

We, who are Saved must, regardless of the cost, reach out to those destined to eternal damnation. We must reach out to those who lay their trust in traditions, works, vanity or whatever instead of the Lord Jesus, the Christ. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8) We must reach out to the Roman Catholics.

Let me close with this from the Apostle Paul:

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; For if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

But, How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:1-15)

Let your feet be beautiful, let your hearts rejoice, put a smile on the face of the Lord, take the time to lead a Roman Catholic to a saving knowledge of the Lord.

The Lord be with and bless you all, amen.

The Lord be with and bless you all and may you all keep this very important point in mind. It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

Lord I would also ask You to be with my friend Mac, and for the salvation of Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh. Amen.

All Scripture is quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
