You and the Lord's prayer

I know that all of you know the Lord's prayer. But, I can not help but wonder how many of you have ever taken the time to really think about it. Do you concentrate on it, or do you just repeat it?

Let's look and think.

Our Father who is in heaven, holy, sacred and hallowed is Thy name.

Father, let Thy kingdom come, let Thy will be done, here on earth just as it is in heaven.

Oh Father, give me this day my daily bread, not the bread that puts weight and fat on my body Lord, but the Bread of Thy word, for Thy Holy Son has told us that man doe not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of Thy mouth.

Father, please forgive my sins, and help me Lord to forgive those who have trespassed against me. For I know Lord that if I don't forgive others, You will not forgive me, but Lord at times it is hard for me to forgive, so please Lord, help me to forgive others so that You can forgive me.

Father please don't let the evil one lead me into temptation and deliver me out of his hand, out of the hand of evil. Surround me and mine, Lord with angels with flaming swords, letting them do what ever they need do to protect me and mine.

Father please remember that me means my wife and I for Thou has made us one flesh.

And I know that all these things are within Your domain for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever, amen. And I pray, praise and ask these things in the name of my Lord and my Saviour, Christ Jesus, through the Holy Spirit that dwells within me. Amen.

When you go to the Father in the name of the Son, via the Holy Ghost, there are some things you must keep in mind. First, God, the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are One, that They created all things and therefore own all things. That all things were made by Them for Their pleasure. And that They will love and bless those whom they will and hate and curse those whom They will.

The next thing you must keep in mind is that nothing is impossible for God to do. Nothing. Let us look at Abraham and Sara, Abraham was 99 and Sara was 89.

And they(Jesus and two angels) said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And He said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, "I laughed not"; for she was afraid. And He said, Nay; but thou didst laugh. (Genesis 18: 9-15 ACP/KJV)

Sara was 89 years old at this point in time, when she had Isaac she was 90 years old. Think about that, a 90 year old woman having a baby. Know any doctor that can make that happen, know of any fertilization drugs that could make that possible today? Look at what Jesus said: "Is any thing too hard for the LORD?"

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? The answer to that, must be NO! Once you understand that there is nothing that the Lord God of Creation cannot do, then you start to understand the importance of obeying Him, of going to Him in prayer not as a mindless robot, but as one who goes to Him knowing that He is listening, and that He knows what you are doing and thinking and saying, even when there is a wall between you and Him. Sara was inside the tent when she laughed, yet Jesus knew she had laughed, even though she denied it, He knew.

And that is the way it should be with us when we pray. We must know that God is listening and that there is nothing He can not do and if necessary, there is nothing He will not do.

Unless you are not a Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. For God does not hear the unsaved. The only prayer the Lord hears from the unsaved is the prayer of salvation. And even that prayer must get to the Father through the Son. And once you truly understand that the Father, the Son and the Holy Sprit are One God, no three, then you will understand the absolute truth in "... I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life! No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me!" (John 14:6b ACP/KJV)

When you truly understand that God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are one God and that nothing but nothing is impossible for Them to do, then you start to understand the importance of praying not as a mindless robot, reciting words in a blind effort to be heard, but as a son or daughter going to an all powerful Father.

Let me close with this little reminder from the half brother of the Lord Jesus:

From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (James 4:1-3 ACP/KJV)

Go to the Father in the Name of the Son and through the Holy Spirt, not as a mind numb robot repeating what everyone else is saying, but as a favorite son or daughter in truth and sincerity.

The Lord be with you all, may He always hear your prayers because you go to Him in love not duty.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac and Cecily to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
